Our founder, Tom Woodaz, began his career in Household Goods Moving when he became a driver in order to pay for his college tuition at Northern Michigan University. Fast-forward to 1973, he and his wife Kathy, opened their own moving business bringing the UP the first United Van Lines Agency.
While building the business they also started building their family. Their 5 daughters were raised in the business and spent many summers training in the packing and moving of goods. My disabled mother needed help moving the majority of the large things in her house before tomorrow when she gets evicted.
They came and stayed for an hour and then immediately left after she signed the contract saying there was too much to move. They would have had about 4 other people helping them as well.
We packed the majority of her things but now we have to leave things behind that are important to her because we can't pack it all by ourselves, also the manager and desk lady never called her back after the movers walked out
This is quite literally affecting my mother's health now.

Worst experience ever! Would give negative rating if possible.
Up front, friendly and helpful but the morning of the move an employee called in sick and took 2 hours to replace them. Was told “hopefully we can still make this happen”. When they did arrive while loading they broke my office desk and said they took pictures and the office would call Monday to create a claim and replace the desk. No call Monday so I called Tuesday and the owner called me back and in short, said my desk was “that inexpensive furniture” and they weren’t going to replace it. After several more minutes of him

Would never reccomend. We started getting surprised when the guys unloading brought in something that wasn't broken. Everything was poorly packed, the truck itself was loaded poorly, and at the end of the day we have a massive pile of stuff that had been damaged, crushed, and broken. Apparently the word Fragile on a small box means load an ottoman… and a couple of heavy boxes on top of it. A priceless family heirloom was destroyed, our kids' bunk bed was destroyed, artwork, chest freezer, washer, and many more things were either crushed or broken. Do yourself a favor, stay away from these

I had the best experience with EMS, Inc that I had to share. With the stresses from moving from Escanaba MI to Green Bay WI already on my mind, this company went beyond my expectations. From making deliveries work at different times, to the friendly guys that carefully packed and unpacked my stuff, it was a perfect experience. I highly recommend them for your move. On top of all of that, nothing was broken or scratched! Not even the poorly packed dishes that I packed =)
