We are a licensed provider of quality vision care products and personalized optometry services in St. Johns. Since 1988, Avery Eye Care Center has offered provider of quality vision care products and personalized optometry services to our patients in St. Johns and the surrounding areas.

Dr. Thu To is a graduate of the University of Minnesota. She received her Doctorate of Optometry from the Illinois College of Optometry. Dr. To had previously been practicing in the Minneapolis and Chicagoland area and has extensive knowledge in primary care and contact lenses. She is a past member of the American Optometric Association and the Contact Lens Society.
Dr. Eddie Peters is a graduate of Ferris State University and received his Doctorate of Optometry from the Michigan College of Optometry in May of 2018. He is a member of the American Optometric Association (AOA) and the Michigan Optometric Association (MOA). Dr. Peters has trained using some of the most recent advancements in the field, including new imaging technology and leading edge specialty contact lenses.
Jenny has been working at Avery Eye Care Center since 2007. She graduated from Lansing Community College with an associate's degree and went on to Ross Medical Education Center to become a Medical Assistant. Outside of work, you can find her hanging out with her husband Will and two children Nayeli and Chayten.

Dr. Eddy from Avery Eye Care Center is beyond a doubt, one of the most kindest, sincere, personal and informative man/physician I have ever had the pleasure of knowing.
He not only took his time in explaining a particular procedure with me but went out of his way to call me after hours and spent time out of his day to help me.

I have been going to Dr Peters since he first came to St Johns. He has always been very professional, kind and caring. He remembers his patients and always asks about their families. He keeps up on all the latest technology in order to provide the best care possible. His staff is also wonderful and do whatever it takes to keep patients well and happy. I highly recommend this practice!

Great experience, as usual. They called me back for my eye exam right at my appointment time. Everyone, from the front desk, to the exam tech, and post exam fittings, was super friendly and genuinely kind. Dr. Peters is very professional while being easy to talk to. I have always had great experiences at Avery Eye Care.

Dont know how you stay in business. Started wearing glasses 3 years ago. 7 weeks waiting the first go around with regular and sunglasses. 2 years later, just a simple lens change. Nope, broke both pair and another 8 weeks wait, didn't get the frames I wanted, a bunch of shuffling with no contact to me whatsoever, then after 8 weeks I only paid $698 instead of $798 for a lens change. Thanks so much for the $100 savings. Will never be back, please dont try to apologize since you didnt explain anything when I finally got glasses.

I've had six other optometrists in the various locations that we have lived (IL, MO, SOUTHWEST MI, NEW JERSEY) and none have been able to address my rather complex vision problems as effectively as Dr. Peters and the Avery team. The staff is super friendly, energetic and well trained. They address your vision issues and are very proficient/reliable in processing insurance claims. Prompt appointment times.
