Sigel's School Of Dance

In 1939 the Sigel School of Dance was established by the late Mr. and Mrs. William Charles Sigel. Bill, a professional dancer, traveled throughout the state of Pennsylvania dancing in night clubs. His agent, Mrs. Meek, managed all the professional acts throughout Pennsylvania. Bill Sigel danced in 3 - 4 shows in one night, traveling from one to another with a cab waiting to take him to the next gig.

Mindy started her professional dancing career at Hershey Park. From there she moved on to dance for Norwegian Cruise Lines, spent three years in Atlantic City dancing at both Bally's and the Hilton, then toured with Robert Goulet in South Pacific before coming home to share her talents with our students.

The graded system of ballet is being offered to those who qualify and who desire dance accreditation. These classes in ballet are conducted under the Cecchetti system with examinations held once during the season for those who have progressed in the various grades. The examinations are held under the complete authority of the Cecchetti Council of America and all examiners are sent from the National Headquarters in Detroit, Michigan.

Our First Year Angel, ages 3-6 years old, are the youngest students of the Dancing School. Classes consist of 1/2 hour Ballet and 1/2 hour Tap. During this hour students will learn technique fundamentals, songs and most of all they will have fun and experience the real love of dance. Our students love to come to dance.

When I moved to E. Bell Avenue Bill & Rosalie welcomed me and were very special neighbors to me. I appreciate the wonderful contribution you have made to the community, our city, and the whole world.
