Ryan, who will receive his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from the College of Dental Medicine at Midwestern University- Illinois, is a familiar face in the Winona area.

Once a student studying Cell and Molecular Biology at Winona State University, you could also find Ryan on the football field. Our number one priority is our patient's well-being. We implement all the tools available to make sure you have a comfortable experience during your dental visit.

Our Office Report

We have a modern sterilization system that surpasses OSHA requirements. The source of water for our dental units is distilled water (bottled water) which removes any chances for contamination from regular tap water such as that used in most dental offices. We provide gentle, family oriented dental care to the adults and children of this community.

Doctor Report

Dr. Peter Zehren made the big move of Zehren Dental from its downtown Winona location to a new, state of the art facility at 702 Mankato Avenue, Winona. We have been open at our new location now since June of 2013. Dr. Zehren states, It has been a dream of mine for many years to work in an office dedicated to the patient experience.

Dr Zehren and Dr Ryan are amazing dentists!! They’re always so welcoming, kind and patient. They work with you to help you have the best smile possible at your speed and are super flexible. Dr. Zehren, Karen, Cheryl, & the rest of the staff are wonderful. They were very patient and compassionate when I brought my mom with Alzheimer's in for a cleaning and then cavities filled. I then also switch over myself after seeing how well she was treated. It is also a plus that they have the newest technology. Would highly recommend Dr. Zehren!

***STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS OFFICE FOR ANY ORTHO WORK*** I was told my treatment for Clear Correct was finished after having trays for about 4 years. I wasn't super happy about the results considering I still have teeth that are not straight. Dr Zehren told me I was a "perfectionist" and the tooth was not going to move further. They sent me on my… way with my final retainer. Fast forward 18 months and I need a new retainer because the one I got snapped in half. This is when I find out, through their lack of oversight, that they NEVER finished my treatment, and my teeth should essentially

I can’t say enough good things about Zehren Dental. I’ve been going to them for probably 12 years. They have helped me in some very emergency situations that I am so grateful for. the whole staff is very pleasant and accommodating and excellent in their service. I would highly recommend them.

Horrible people, go in with bad insurance and they will treat you less then dirt. The dentist even numbed my mouth and left for coffee and didn't re numb me so I could feel the drill. Horrible

Dr Zehren recommended 5 fillings, but when I got a second opinion from another dentist, she said no filling needed. This dentist tends to perform some unnecessary work. He recommends fillings and crowns for healthy teeth, just to make more money.
He might drill your healthy teeth.

I am new to the city of Winona and needed to make a dentist appointment when I first called to make the appointment the receptionist was rude and unwelcoming. When I got to the office the staff was very friendly until Dr. Peter came in. He also was discriminating me based on my insurance saying that "people like you go to urgent care for free instead of a clinic just because you can." At one point he told me I "needed to grow up and make my own decisions," because I wanted to consult my mom on where to go now with my diagnose. Mind you I am a freshmen and this is the first time I have been away

Best dentist I have ever been to! The whole staff is very friendly and the new building is so clean and professional. I just got 2 wisdom teeth removed yesterday and I have not experienced any pain! He really is a great dentist. 5 out of 5 stars!

Great professional staff. The staff is well educated and they explain dental terms in "layperson" language. Administrative personel are great and Dr. Zehren is fabulous. The entire office treats you like a person and not just a number.
