The Bench may be the most quirkily named neighborhood in Boise, but its moniker isn't entirely nonsensical: Located on a mesa, the Bench is perched above the rest of Boise. The Bench is known for its sunny, big lots, and wonderful diversity. Back in the late 1800s, Boise's canal system transformed the arid land of the Bench into farms producing a bonanza of crops such as cherries and apples and hay.
There's a mural on 9th Street that says it all: While in the North End you need only walking shoes. This charming neighborhood is a paradise for walkers, bikers, and people who value a close-knit neighborhood feel and easy access to Boise's bustling downtown. When the North End was originally developed in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, it was a fairly remote neighborhood with its own micro-town, Hyde Park.

I purchased my home in Boise 2 years ago. Debra Hodges was my realtor along with her associate, Emily Stoltz. Debra and Emily were excellent. Very patient, as I was rather picky. Debra keeps in touch with her clients. I receive postcards and emails regularly apprising me of what's going on in the real estate market in the area. She even brought me a bottle of wine for the holidays (and this is 2 years after I bought the house!). Fantastic customer service. If I ever decide to move, I will definitely contact Debra.
