Services
Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) is a centuries old holistic medicine practice which takes into account all components of a person's lifestyle, habits, and history. TCM examines these components and determines where imbalances have developed and certain disorders have arisen.
TCM will then determine which types of treatments will be the most effective for the patient, which can include acupuncture, moxibustion (a type of burning herbal treatment often used in conjunction with acupuncture), cupping (an ancient form of healing in which a local suction is created on the skin), herbal medicine, nutritional counselling, and lifestyle advice.

Jova Acupuncture is an approved healthcare provider with Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield and United Healthcare. Many other insurance companies may also cover acupuncture depending on your personal plan. We would be happy to provide you with a receipt containing all the necessary billing codes necessary to help you get reimbursed for your treatment.

I have had my 2nd visit and can't praise Dr James enough. The office is clean, relaxing and peaceful. Dr James is professional and listens to my issues. But best of all I leave feeling so much better than when I walked in. If you are looking for a great acupuncturist then I recommend Jova Accupunture!

James understands the big picture. He has wonderful bedside manner and knows how much information to give his patients without overwhelming them. He is thoughtful and asks the right amount of questions to connect with his patients. James has cared for me (pre and post surgery) and my son (an ice hockey player with lots of bumps and bruises) and while his treatment approach was unique and tailored to each of our conditions, the outcome was exactly the same: relief. I have seen James since he first opened in the area. As a strength athlete, recovery is very important to me. James walked me through the process and made sure I was comfortable throughout the whole visit. He has taken care me for two of my meets and when I have injured myself off season. He is attentive and knowledgeable in his practice. I would reccomend to my friends and fellow gym members. Convenient location, free parking lot next to the building as well as street parking and plenty of hours available to schedule. Thank you James!

As the parent of a youth athlete, I feel this community is incredibly fortunate to have Jova Acupuncture here in our backyard! James lives locally, is a father and is truly committed to helping his neighbors, of all ages, be the best they can be. My son has seen him for two separate injuries in the last two years. First, for a broken leg and more recently for a sprained ankle. Both times, James was immediately responsive, working my son into his very busy schedule to ensure he could return quickly and well- healed to his sport.
