What is student loan law? It is anything that has to do with student loans, specifically with the rights of student loan borrowers. Being threatened with a wage garnishment, social security offset, or tax refund intercept?. Then, schedule a 30-minute Student Loan Analysis via phone or virtual meeting for just $200.

By the end of the Analysis, you'll have a clear idea of what you can do to better handle your situation. Our goal is to demystify student loans - what can and cannot happen, what options you have, and how to deal with your loans to put you back in control. If you are an attorney looking for more information on the upcoming Student Loan Law Workshop, please visit the Workshop page.

As a college student at Brandeis University, I had no idea about the ugly side of student loans until I spent some time working in the financial aid office as part of my own financial aid package. That's when I got an up-close view of the ways that education finance can ruin your life if you're not careful.
My mission is to give a voice to those who are taken advantage of by student loan lenders, servicers, and debt collectors. Since 2008, I've been helping people with student loan debt live a better, happier and fuller life. I am also the founder of The Student Loan Law Workshop, where I teach attorneys how to practice in the field of student loan law.
These days it is almost impossible for most students to attend college without some kind of financial aid. Private loans are issued by private banks and are based on the applicant's credit worthiness, meaning, if you have good credit, you can get a loan. Federal student loans, however, are not dependent on credit worthiness (except PLUS loans).
1 Clarity - separate the fact from fiction. Fully understand what can and can't occur with your loans and find a clear path. 2 Control - take back your life. Don't let your loans control you, you control them. 3 Confidence - know that you're not alone, that you have support, and a path to deal with your loans.
The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau said no one should pay for student loan assistance. They're kinda right. What they really meant is that no one should NEED to pay for student loan assistance. Unfortunately, the industry makes it so difficult to understand options and circumstances that it's hard to manage your loans on your own.

I was given the e-mail address to Joshua R.I. Cohen. I was shocked that for the first consultation he mentioned $150.00 just to talk for 30 minutes (on line too).
I am disabled and can't get anyone to help. It would have been nice to just talk with him. Oh well, keep on keeping on then.
