At Morro Bay Optometry, the health and safety of our patients and staff are always our top priority. We continue to follow the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) guidance for healthcare settings and implement procedures to adhere to such guidelines. The CDC's recently released new masking recommendations for fully vaccinated individuals no longer require vaccinated people to wear a mask or physically distance.
However, as explicitly stated by the CDC, these new recommendations are NOT intended for healthcare settings. All staff, patients, and visitors must continue to wear masks, regardless of vaccination status. We will continue to follow the full infection control procedures required by the CDC for healthcare settings.

Services
Morro Bay Optometry has been caring for patients since 1975. Our patients' visual needs and wellness are our highest priority. Our commitment is to enhance quality of life by providing comprehensive and personalized eye care of the highest level. We provide state of the art medical technology, as well as a full-service optical dispensary.
This scanning laser ophthalmoscope is a wellness screening tool that assists us in the evaluation of your retina, and may eliminate the need to have your eyes dilated. With the Optomap@ we can discover any abnormalities or confirm the health of your retina, diagnose any potentially harmful diseases and determine the best course of action.
We offer a wide selection of eyeglass and sunglass frames including many of the latest and most popular brands. Our friendly and knowledgeable staff will help you select frames that look great, fit properly and are compatible with your lens prescription. We use high quality lens materials with the latest technology in lightweight lenses, progressive lens design and glare/scratch protection.
You should visit your eye health care provider at least once per year, or immediately if you have any degree of sudden vision loss, eye pain, or irritation. A comprehensive eye examination is important for children. A basic screening by a pediatrician may not detect certain eye disorders like amblyopia.
