Sykes Tree Service, located in Hilliard, OH was founded in 2006 and is owned and operated by James Sykes. Since starting the company, James' goal has been simple: to provide each and every customer with excellent, professional service at a competitive rate. Pruning, deadwood removal, full removals and stump grinding are just a small portion of what James can do.
We are a fully insured company and registered in the state of Ohio. James Sykes grew up a dairy farm in the Catskills of New York where he also helped his Grandfather and uncle with their tree Service, this is where he learned the trade. After high school he came to Columbus in 2000 to attend DeVry University where, in 2004, he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering.

Services
Early in a tree's life it is important to prune to encourage a dominate main-stem leader. This service also would include removal of diseased, rubbing and broken limbs. Every leaf is a source of food for the tree, so we always try to keep our wounds as small as possible while still meeting the needs of the tree and homeowners.

I contacted James with an unusual request if he could assist me with a kitten stuck in a tree. I left James a voicemail and he called me back right away. He said he would be happy to come and help me and arrived about 30 minutes later. He got the little guy out of the tree safety and when I asked him what the fee would be he said there would be no charge. James was very nice and I plan to use him for some services in the future.

We needed help with removal of a small tree in our backyard as well as some bushes. James was incredibly helpful. He was able to come by same day to give us a quote. We were on a tight schedule for this project and James fit us in within three days of us contacting him. The work was done perfectly, on time and at a reasonable price. Amazing customer service! Would highly recommend this company!

James and his team have done excellent work for our family over the years. Our latest project involved removing two trees in a landscaping bed, removing the bed, grading the lawn, and then planting grass seed. James took the time to discuss various options and alternatives before settling on our course of action. Once on site, they worked quickly and did a great job. He's our only call when we need tree service.

It was a pleasure dealing with Sykes Tree Service. James was extremely professional and prompt in his response to my online request, and in his visit to review the job in question. He was very detailed in his explanation of what was required, and very fair in his pricing.
James and his brother arrived with all the necessary equipment, in the time frame specified, and were extremely thorough in the removal of the tree, stump and roots in question. The cleanup was most impressive.
