Our estate planning services include the use of revocable living trusts and irrevocable trusts, special needs trusts and wills as well as financial and health care directives such as the durable power of attorney, living will, designation of health care surrogate and designation of pre-need guardian.
Whether you are the trustee of a revocable living trust or an irrevocable trust, you owe the beneficiaries a fiduciary duty to act in their best interests and to administer the trust in accordance with the trust agreement and applicable law. In order to avoid legal liability as a trustee you need the services of an experienced trust lawyer to guide you the trust administration process.
If you're a mom or dad with one or more children at home under the age of 18 (as I am), you may need a Child Protection Plan. Without such a plan, if you are killed or incapacitated in an accident, the police will typically show up at your house to notify the family.
If the police find your kids home alone, or with a babysitter, they will have no choice but to call in Child Protective Services and have your kids removed from your home until the system can figure out what to do, and that may take weeks or even months.Having a Last Will and Testament to name permanent, long-term guardians for your minor children is vitally important, but it is is not sufficient to protect your children in these situations.

I brought my mom in to get her estate plan documents done. The staff was extremely helpful and took great care of her. Attorney Courtney Ray helped guide her thru the process and helped her understand everything. She even took care of the deed for her property so it would go straight to her beneficiary and not need to go thru probate. This is probably the most amazing attorney office in Jacksonville. My husband was very sick in the hospital and they actually came to the hospital to help us with the legal documents we needed signed. Who does that? ...this law firm. Their professionalism is off the charts. They give back to the community and truely care about their clients and the situations they are going through.
