A TDP lamp is a far infrared mineral lamp. Rather than using a infrared light bulb as in more conventional therapies, the TDP lamp works on an electric coil that heats a ceramic plate. This causes a deep heat to penetrate into the affected joint. The effects include raising the temperature of the affected tissue and promotion of circulation.

Tui Na is a Chinese form of massage that translates to English as "Lift and Grasp". It involved joint mobilization, pressure at acupressure points, and rubbing along the energy channels. It is a product of the evolution of Chinese bodywork from over 4,000 years ago. It promotes healthy circulation of qi and blood, relieves inflammation, stops pain, and lubricates the joints.
