We had no issue getting my daughters prescription refilled and covered by insurance at our pharmacy before moving to the area. After having it refilled at Griebs we were told there was an issue with our insurance. Our insurance company told us the issue was was because of the way they were billing it out and when I called Griebs to tell them the woman I spoke with was extremely rude, condescending and unhelpful...and wouldn’t change the way it was billed out despite the advice of our insurance company. Would not recommend and will not go back.

Probably the best pharmacy I have ever had. They are careful and conscientious. Unlike most of the chain pharmacy that we are forced to deal with, Grieb's always goes the extra mile! They have wonderful helpful pharmacists and exceptional customer service from all of their sales assistants! Whenever a friend or family member complains to me about their latest bad experience with one of the big chains down the block, the first thing I do is tell them to switch to Grieb's!

Debi runs a fantastic operation at Grieb's. The entire staff is professional, beyond helpful & friendly! My family has been using this pharmacy for over a decade because the prescriptions are ready quickly and the customer service is the best you'll find... If you can't get to the pharmacy, they will deliver your prescription to you!! They also sell beautiful gifts, such as local jewelry and candles, & unique trinkets that are worth visiting the store for - 10/10 would recommend Grieb's to a friend!

Recently we have had difficulty with our insurance coverage - you name it, it was a problem. The issues were with the insurance company's data and Grieb's staff was absolutely wonderful! I can't tell you how many times they were patiently on the phone with us and/or the insurance companies. None of it was their fault, but they were incredibly helpful and supportive!

First time in my life when the pharmacist offered me a glass of water to wash down some Tylenol! That was some years ago. I soon learned that there is no better pharmacy than Grieb's!
My friend's mother moved overseas last year and still gets her prescriptions filled by Chuck. He has saved her life several times by recognizing harmful combinations in her prescribed medications.
Darien residents swear by Grieb's. The cost is the same, so why would anyone go elsewhere? And Grieb's delivers!

One of the best things that happened to me in the last couple of years was changing insurance where I was allowed to go to Grieb's again after being forced to use CVS. The chain experience was constant lines, prescriptions not ready or couldn't be found in the racks, and pharmacists talking in groups in the back while the lines got longer and didn't move. Grieb's is superfast, has extra employees who take care of you instantly, picks up the phone on the first ring without punching in 1 for English, 2 for pharmacy, 3 for refills, etc. It's a joy and has eliminated the repeated worst hour of my week

My mother has been a Grieb's customer for over 20 years. A month ago, she called in a refill for her prescription as she always does. This time, the person who greeted her on the phone was rude, dismissive, interruptive and discourteous. She has a bit of a stutter and rather than be patient and allow her to articulate her needs, she was rushed, only making the situation worse. She refuses to use another pharmacy despite my insistence and the convenience of CVS across the street and Walgreens right up the road where we have never had any customer service issues.

Grieb's, in our family's experience, has always been great in terms of customer service, helpfulness and good communications. We've used them for many years and always appreciate how they provide work opportunities for students. I still remember and very much appreciate that one of the owners came in during a Christmas holiday and left a prescription for our then-young son so that we were able to leave on a family holiday. Darien is very fortunate to have such a family and locally owned pharmacy to serve the community.

They provide much better service and communication than you will ever find at a CVS or other large chain. They offer delivery. If they don't have a medicine or medical device they can usually get it for you in 24 hours or so. They basically will go the extra mile for you in a way that pharmacists in a large chain wouldn't. Plus they seem to have more pharmacists in the store filling orders than they do at chains, so you get your perscription and/or other information faster. I'm a fan.
