Permanent displays are designed to last 1-2 years on a retail floor. They are replenished with products and designed to both reinforce your brand message and make the shopper experience easy to select and access products. By offering a permanent display to retailers, consumer product goods companies (CPGs) solidify their location in the store, control the presentation their branded message and amortize the cost over the life of the display.
Temporary displays range in size from standalone corrugated units to pallet and are typically displayed anywhere from the floor, on-shelf or on the counter. They are designed to last 1-3 months and are shipped in either prepacked or knocked down (KD) flat. They are generally not refilled and the display is thrown away once the product has turned over.
For clients needing temporary retail point-of-purchase (POP) displays, corrugated and paperboard displays are commonly used because of their low cost and versatility. In fact, corrugated and paperboard displays are the most cost-effective material type as they're meant to be recycled by the retailer after a short period of use.
