GIFT CARDS NOW AVAILABLE Don't know what to get them, but you know they will love the selection? Jay Gurewitsch (that's me writing this and everything else on this site) created Arcadia in November of 2000 in a tiny little space on West 19th Street in the Chelsea neighborhood of Manhattan.

Famous for the rock garden/candle department in the back of the store and the "found object" displays throughout, it was fun, funky, and got overcrowded if more than 5 people were in the store at once.In 2006, Arcadia moved around the corner to perhaps the most famous location in all of Chelsea, the former Big Cup location on Eighth Avenue off 22nd Street.

Every product has a great story. Unique, handmade, sustainable gifts and very well curated.

Tiny, carefully-curated shop with meaningful, quality gifts for anyone of any age. We can never seem to go inside without buying something, and it helps that much of the merchandise is made locally and the shop owner knows every story behind the product. One of the best gift stores in Provincetown.

Last minute shopping for an anniversary gift. Jay was great to work with. He got me a piece of James Binnion jewelry expedited so it would arrive on time.

This was my second year in Ptown, and therefore my 2nd time in Acadia. The owner Jay is very knowledgeable on everything in the shop. Unfortunately we had quite a bad experience with him last week, without going into to much detail, we bought something that later we found to be completely overpriced (when he assured us he was at least 20% cheaper) we didn't check, at the time but later that day found the product $80 cheaper on the products website, we went back to try and come to some arrangement (getting a price reduction or return) but Jay turned very aggressive and started shouting and eventually

REALLY cool things, but when you’re the only one in there you kind of feel pressured to make a purchase. The owner is very nice and super helpful. Just almost so helpful that you feel obligated to buy something unless he’s talking to someone else

A place of some truly beautiful, unique and special gifts. Everything so thoughtfully hand picked and displayed. Each piece having a story, so wonderful to hear.
