Beckman's Greene Street Pharmacy opened in 1982 by John and Kathleen Beckman whose vision was to operate a neighborhood pharmacy in their hometown that would "Dispense information as well as medication."
With that vision in mind they started their dream at 758 Greene Street (the original site of the Dingle Drug Store dating to the early 1900's) After 20 years a demand for more space necessitated a move down the street to their present location at 686 Greene Street, which they are sharing with the Classic Car Wash and Pyzano's Pizza.The pharmacy today offers many new services.

The purpose of the consultation is to review all of your medications, which includes prescription drugs, over-the-counter products, and herbal supplements - even if you have purchased them at another store.We have already worked with multiple patients through this great program.

Forgot to order my child’s formula which we get once a month.
Very next month we ordered it and was told it would be delivered on Saturday . That Saturday they called and told us it would not be filled until 5 days later because it was not due for a refill until a later date because of their forgetting to order it the previous month. So now we run out again . Very poor customer service

No drive thru. Dropped out of my prescription plan didn’t tell me. i went in to pickup refills and my copay had tripled from last time. Was told I hadn’t met deductible. Checked with my plan found real reason. They no longer are a participating pharmacy with my plan and are therefore out of my network. Maybe they didn't know but i feel they should have. Thats all for them.

This Pharmacy has an awesome store with beautiful home decor - rustic/farmhouse, buffalo plaid, religious, holiday, patriotic styles. Also has jewelry, vera bradley bags, greeting cards, diabetic/orthotic shoes, & nice gift items. However, the pharmacy appears to be short staffed because there is always a line wrapped around the store, quite a long wait for medicines, & the staff are usually stressed out & frequently not very kind! Love the products in the store but the atmosphere is mostly uncomfortable.

Really nice people and they go above and beyond to get you your medication, but they take forever to fill your prescription and you always need to count your pills and make sure they give you the right medication. They are such kind and decent people but in my expierence there's been a lot of mistakes made

A year later and I'm done with them. Lackadaisical would be a big improvement for them. They are far worse than lackadaisical. Have called in prescriptions multiple times then showed up and they didn't know anything about it. Happened with the automated system. Happened when I spoke to a live person. Happened when my doctor called it in.
CVS was charging me $130 for a 30 day supply of my diabetic medication. The same medication is less than $30 for a 3 month supply at Beckmans. And the service is much better as well.

This is the best pharmacy I've been to. The staff are very friendly and non-judgemental. They work in a professional and timely manner. They answer any questions you have. You can tell they actually care about their customers to the point they will remember your name. I highly recommend this pharmacy above all others. They go above and beyond.

I’ve had several issues here in the past, but the last issue falls to the top. After showing up to pick up prescriptions about a week after drop off I had to wait about 15-20 minutes while several staff scrambled to try to figure out what was going on. I would also like to mention that I had to announce what medications I needed aloud to the staff at least three times because they couldn’t remember. This was extremely uncomfortable, especially considering there were many other people in line. Ultimately, the prescriptions were found and the staff stated that they were not filled due to insurance

Honestly cant be live how I was treated by John Beckman today.
Seems being raided has him high strung...
Issue with being told my meds where not ready.
When in fact they where and had been for days. Or so it seemed, turns out they filled the wrong drug type! Causing red flag with my insurance company!
When I asked about this, John got on the phone and told me if I had any questions I needed to ask my new pharmacist and hung up on me.

I noticed you taking the time to reply but you didn't bother to contact me by phone. As you clearly know who it is. So your apology is nothing
