Video City Productions
Video City Productions is a commercial, corporate, and event video production studio in Philadelphia. We've collaborated with clients across the country, to share their stories, to impact their audiences, and to capture their priceless moments. In our filmmaking, we focus on stunning cinematography utilizing an arsenal of equipment from sliders to gimbals and drones.

In our edits, we try to develop strategic narratives that lead to effective storytelling. In everything we do, we provide an elevated experience to everyone we work with - starting with our clients, their stakeholders, and our vendors. We believe we all do our best work when we focus on elevating each other.
Services
We offer this as a deep dive month-to-month service where our team helps to define the overall video strategy, messaging, and individual pieces of content. Script writing and storyboarding. Shot lists and shooting tips. We are your ongoing partner helping you to plan and execute on creating content consistently with meaningful content to engage your audience.
We don't sell equipment, so you can trust our unbiased opinion on the gear we've selected. We're building an ever-expanding list of recommended packages to support your needs big and small. Whether you need to film videos on your iPhone or you want to start a small live-stream studio, we got you. This is where we're going to get nerdy with gear worth investing in.
Below is a list of on-location and studio video production services we offer. Our approach to video production is focused on strategy; we start by understanding your goals and then determine how video can help you achieve it. Maybe you need an impactful branding film or a series of short sizzles for social media to promote your product or attract attendees to your event.
Editing is an arena where it's best to judge the work by seeing it, and we invite you to see our portfolio. Instead of talking about fast computers and our talented team (.did we sort of just do that?) We talk a lot about video strategy and understanding the big picture. We strive to provide meaningful guidance during the editing process, which can help determine the direction of a narrative and ultimately how effective a video will be.
Try spending an hour doing what should've been a 15-minute interview as you try to sneak in narrative responses between police sirens, horns honking, phones ringing, toilets flushing, rain pitter-patterring. Not to mention how disorienting and frustrating that is for the talent. It's bound to knock anyone off their game!

Positive: Professionalism, Responsiveness
Jon and his team made the video production process easy and streamlined for our team and our clients. His prescreening process helped make the day run more efficiently and he was able to capture the content we were looking for in the finished product with only one day of production.

This company is amazing, every single person I worked with here has been great. Our firm will definitely be keeping them in mind for future needs, since they were so accommodating to all of our request even on very a tight deadline. Jon, Jess, and Alejandro especially were all fantastic and made sure we had a final product that was as perfect as could be. I cannot recommend them enough, thank you to them for all of their hard work and a fantastic final product.

Sorry to say that the service I received here was pretty bad. Some time ago, I used them to make a digital transfer of some old film footage and 1) it was expensive 2) quality of the transfer was just terrible- it looked like someone projected it on a screen in their basement and just shot it with a low resolution camera and 3) it took weeks longer than expected. There was a very prominent vignetting in all the footage that was not in the original, as well. I had it redone with a service in Old City I used before and while it was also expensive (same price) it came out properly. The girl behind

Very Professional! They were able to transfer over a 50 year old film that every other place couldn't. They said it would take 10 days, but they had it done in less than a week! I would definitely use this company again!

I want to thank Jon and Video City Productions with their help!

Our family had five VHS tapes of importance that we wanted saved and converted to digital format.

All the tapes were transferred successfully to DVD and looked great.

One of the tapes was of us and our extended family. There were Christmas, Birthday and trip highlights when all the cousins were young and the grandparents were alive. Twenty of us were able to watch the memories on Christmas Day!

The staff was very helpful with staying in communication and getting the job completed. I have told others about their VHS conversions

These guys saved Christmas!

Well, *my* Christmas. I was having issues transferring an old family movie to DVD, and these guys were able to get me squared away in no time at all -- I had been worried that nobody would be able to turn the project around before I left town for the holidays. Everyone was super friendly and helpful. And I would have been willing to pay twice the (totally reasonable) rate they asked for. Now I can give my family the gift they really want: a digitized copy of a long-forgotten and mostly-embarrassing-but-kinda-sentimental mid-90's Christmas tape.

We had a video production with a tight deadline on delivering 300 DVD's. We contacted Discmakers in NJ and their rigid way of doing business was not working for us. Video City stepped in and saved the day. For a less expensive price!

I went to Video City Philadelphia to have them transfer and edit a Mini DV tape for me. I worked closely with Jon, the president of the company, to make sure that he understood everything I wanted done. He was extremely courteous and knowledgeable about everything.

It turned out that I had omitted an important piece of info for him, which was that the Mini-DV was recorded in Hi-Def, a medium which apparently is not commonly used. Video City did not have a Hi-Def Mini-DV tape deck. Instead of telling me that he couldn't complete the job and to take my business elsewhere, Jon went above and
