Doug is one of our Hygienists and has been practicing in our office for 18 years. He served as a past board member for the Utah Dental Hygienists Association for 5 years and is committed to giving back to his professional association. Doug enjoys the fun & friendly patients we have here at Larson Dental and is an excellent hygienist.
Dr. Larson grew up in Salt Lake City, UT and has been at 928 East 100 South since graduation from the University of Washington School of Dentistry in 1996. He has dedicated his professional career to providing his patients with the best that dentistry has to offer. In his spare time, he enjoys tennis, skiing and backpacking into Utah's wilderness with his wife and four children; Parker, Tate, Brady and Lyndsay.
Dr. Eric is very gentle and knowledgeable, and he makes sure to answer all my questions! His office Ladies are always willing to go the extra mile for there patients, I have witnessed the office manager offer to comfort unhappy babies so the mother can get her dental needs met! They are always smiling and they make you feel like family!

I had a great experience at Larson Dental. I am not one to go to the dentist and have not been for a long time. They are great! Friendly staff was very nice and professional to deal with. I am confused how this dentist has such high rating, though it seems they offer free cleanings in exchange for 5 star reviews. My past experiences were absolutely atrocious. He had zero bed side manner. He was constantly late to my first morning appointments and even went as far as to MOCK me when I expressed the need to be to work on-time after the 3rd time it happened. I started crying and when he left the room, the dental assistant apologized to me on his behalf and said that his behavior has been unprofessional towards other clients too.

I had been coming to Larson Dental for a few years. Upon changing jobs and insurance, I had asked if my new insurance was still covered, Tammy at the front desk said that she would check and get back to me.
After a cleaning, I was told that I was in need of 6 fillings which I agreed to have done. However, I never received a quote and paid $180, thinking that they had already spoken with my insurance.
A few weeks later, I received a bill over $1,200 in addition to the $180 that I had already paid.

I know dentists. My father was a dentist/orthodontist, (You could do both back then) and my sister is a dentist. Teeth were a large part of my life. It is always difficult finding a dentist that meets my expectations, as my dad was head of oral surgery at Mt Sinai Hospital in Manhattan, and he was surrounded by great dentists who seemed to all practice on my pearly whites. I haven't been to the dentist in 4 years because of this business. I went to them for a cleaning 4 years ago and ended up with a gap between my top front teeth. I trusted the lady cleaning my teeth and while cleaning my teeth, without saying a word, she put a file between my two front teeth and filed 3 times. I didn't know what was going on but felt the powder in my mouth. I came in on Friday to do a consultation about getting braces again. Dr. Scott Larson was very knowledgeable and basically read my mind on what I wanted to do! We decided on invisalign and I'm very excited as I feel that I've finally found a great place. I also got my teeth cleaned by his hygienist and he was so gentle with me. He was also hilarious! I love all his staff. Such an awesome place.

As a new client to Larson Dental I was shocked when I received our bill, seeing that there was a $49.00 charge for nitrous oxide that was not covered by our insurance and made up half of our bill from Larson Dental. Dr. Eric Larson had never mentioned that it would be a $49.00 charge for the nitrous oxide, so I contacted Larson Dental to see if they would be willing to clarify the matter.
