Wild Iris offers free and confidential support for victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, or child abuse and their families. Callers to our hotline, available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year (including holidays) can expect support, understanding, crisis intervention, and information and referral to programs and agencies.

Even if you are outside of our service area, we can refer you to resources in your local area. Trained peer crisis counselors are available to provide immediate counseling, information and resources. Safety Planning: Trained peer counselors are available to assist in safety planning and provide you with valuable information to consider when you are in a dangerous situation, or are planning to leave an abusive relationship.
Services
Wild Iris is dedicated to promoting a safer community by empowering and restoring the independence of those affected by domestic violence, sexual assault and child abuse. Our vision is for non-violent relationships based on dignity, respect, compassion and equality. Our service area is all of Inyo and Mono Counties, including Death Valley and Tecopa regions and Coleville/ Walker, north to the Nevada State line.
Wild Iris is here to stand by you through the whole process of dealing with violence in your home, whether or not you want to leave your abusive partner. Our crisis counselors are here to discuss your situation and your options with you, and support the decisions you make for yourself and your family.
A crisis counselor is always available to provide immediate crisis intervention, emotional support, emergency shelter, information, and referrals. Anyone who is experiencing, or who has experienced, domestic violence, sexual assault or child abuse. Friends and family who have witnessed or suspect domestic violence, sexual assault or child abuse and want to help.
Keep you from seeing your family and friends, going to school, or doing other activities that are important to you?. Make you feel isolated or control your means of communication such as your phone and computer?. Stalk or harass you, such as following you or showing up at our home or office uninvited?.
Children often suffer in silence when abuse is present in the home. Child abuse can range from physical battering, physical and sexual attacks, emotional abuse, neglect, witnessing domestic violence and/or sexual assault. If you suspect a child is being abused or neglected you can make a report to your local Child Protective Services or contact Wild Iris for support.
