Habilitation: To help a person learn, keep, or improve skills and functional abilities that they may not be developing normally. This could be referring to children or young adults with varying levels of developmental disabilities. We are here to help! Rehabilitation: To restore, improve, or maintain physical strength, cognition, and mobility with maximized results.
I love helping others learn and grow. As a result of my efforts, I have been able to help many individuals turn the stumbling blocks of their lives into stepping stones. I started Progressive Beginnings in 1999 with my husband John. When I am not working, I enjoy traveling, shopping, yoga, and watching my 3 children participate in their various sporting events.

A friend recommended me to try therapy after a sport related injury. Emma and the front desk got me in within a week. She took care of all the things needed to get me in and found the perfect times to fit my busy schedule. My therapist helped me get back to my pain free self within no time and I am grateful for finding it when I did! Definitely recommend.

The staff there is excellent. My rehab therapist, Maria, is kind and caring and is very knowledgeable and skilled. I’m 71 years old and the Aquatic physical therapy is extremely helpful in strengthening my core and legs as I have a right knee injury and am unable to have surgery at this time. I am so very thankful for Progressive Beginnings.

We have been going to Progressive Beginnings for 10 years. Both of my kids have worked with therapists here l, including the owner/OT Nicki Elmendorf. Nicki has literally changed our lives. She taught me how to really watch my children, how to look for the underlying reason for my children's struggles and how to better understand my children. She has been a tireless advocate, a mentor and friend.

Emma is super organized and had all info needed for appointment taken care of before we even walked into the building. Allison was very attentive to my son's shyness and treated him like an individual. She was reassuring and kind, and he responded well to that. I have been super impressed by every interaction with the clinic.

Using the pool during Physical Therapy is amazing and more importantly so is my therapist, Maria. Two of my children attend Speech and Occupational Therapy here as well. All of the therapists work closely together and collaborate when it comes to treatment plans. I’m so happy to have found Progressive Beginnings and I love that everything my family needs is all under one roof.
