We are a family owned and run business with roots in Vermont. Memories of frosty winter mornings, sugaring in the Sugar Shack, wading in the Ottauquechee River and skiing lingered. We opened our first hotel, 506 On the River in Woodstock and recently Mountain Meadows Lodge in Killington. We chose beautiful locations for our hotels, one on the banks of the Ottaquechee River and the other on Kent Pond.

Our goal was to celebrate Vermont and show our guests its beauty, abundant adventures, stunning outdoor settings and warm hospitality. As professional hoteliers we wanted to ensure high standards, as a family owned business we wanted to keep it charming and genuine. This is our goal with all our hotels in different parts of the world.
Services

Best Impossible burger I've ever had, granted we did take out so I imagine that it would have been even better had we eaten there. Staff super friendly and real. While we waited the place had a great easy vibe, decorated lovely and bartender was so nice!

My room was very nice and comfortable. I had a beautiful view of a large grassy area and a small portion of the river.
The decor of the motel was so pretty. There was a really nice gift shop. The dinner that we had was really good and the breakfast was also really good.
I only gave it a 4star because the staff was really rude. Maureen who prepared the breakfast and put it out was a real asset to the motel and a true gem. She told us of great places to eat, and where to go for souvenirs, and the guy who cooked our dinner was very nice and came out to check on our group.

This is a charming inn located on the river. Our room was on the ground floor, and opened to a cute patio area that overlooked a nice grassy area and the river. It was drizzly-rainy the whole time we were in Vermont, but it was still so peaceful to sit out on the patio and enjoy our morning coffee and watch the river. They also have a fabulous indoor pool and jacuzzi that was very clean and nice. The only bummer about the place was that the restaurant was closed for dinner to to labor shortages, so we were on our own for dinner. But other than that, it was a very relaxing, enjoyable stay.

Restaurant closed suddenly on the evening we were staying. Left us scrambling for a place to eat on a busy Saturday night. Tried to book a room for another night to give the place another chance and they will only accommodate a two night stay. Easily took our reservation to another establishment, but really disappointed with the Inn's policy as this would have been our first choice. Not anymore.

Room was not clean. Dead and live bugs on the floors. Burned out light bulbs in lamps. Drapes off the hooks so they would not close.
Holes in screen door so could not leave the regular door open to get fresh air.
No one at the front desk so had to wait 15 minutes to check in.
All in all would never recommend.

Pleasant stay, comfortable beds and straightforward design that deserves your business. However, ask if the WiFi has been upgraded since it drops signal often enough to irritate and impede work or entertainment. Riverview rooms offer no views of the river when leaves are on the trees in the spring, summer or fall. Accessible room comes up short on reasonable accommodation for most disabled. Between the slippery bathroom floors when wet, nearly absent counter space, and shower stall that is oil slick slippery, ADA contractor failed when they built this property.

Nice hotel. We had a little kitchen which was great and a full fridge. A lovely little balcony overlooking a large grassy area - no river view though even though that's how it was advertized. My real issue is the condition of the carpet. There were stains one or 2 of them dark and off putting. I wore socks the whole time and put down towels to walk on. I am not a particularly fussy person but this was quite gross. Carpet needs to be replaced. Lovely hotel for families. We enjoyed sitting on the balcony watching the families" kids play the great games provided. We would come back but maybe ask about

The staff were fantastic. Maureen in the restaurant was an absolute gem. Everyday Maureen gave us the best recommendations for places to visit and she made our mornings with offerings of delicious pastries. Our suite was clean and incredibly spacious. The only issues were oddly plumbing related. There was a leak under the kitchen sink and the shower drained slowly. Staff at the front desk was a bit slow to send someone for repairs but it was eventually addressed. Otherwise, this was a delightful, beautiful location for a getaway. There is also a boutique on-site with really beautiful scarves, shirts

We try to go to Vermont once a year.. anytime we do we stay here.. everyone is very friendly... Room is very comfy bed is very comfortable... Nice place to relax on your deck or outside. Property is beautiful... Only thing is some stuff still isn't open like the library an gym an sauna so that was disappointing.. An the breakfast was ok not as good as before an the second morning the breakfast tasted like some stuff was from the day before an when we arrived there was a few hairs on bathroom floor... For these reasons I didn't give my usual 5 ⭐
