Today's shop managers, engineers and supply chain professionals are driven by product innovation. Higher performance at lower cost and under consideration of limited resources are common goals shared by a growing number of modern industry visionaries. Laser Welding Solutions provides state-of-the-art surface technologies and 3D printing to assist in the product improvement efforts of our goal-driven customers.
Additive manufacturing technologies utilizing the high energy of a laser to bond a high performance alloy to a metal substrate of typically lesser quality. The importance of the laser joining technology is driven by the requirements to manufacture leaner, reduce material cost and join dissimilar materials.

Laser Cladding and Laser Hardfacing are additive manufacturing technologies utilizing the high energy of a laser to bond a high performance alloy to a metal substrate of typically lesser quality. The laser cladding layer is customized for protection against corrosion, wear, high temperature fatigue and other failure causing conditions.
Laser hardening is an ideal surface modification technology for highly stressed and/or complex components made out of a ferrous material suitable for hardening. The process produces the highest hardnesses achievable for the selected steel or alloy with practically no warping. The laser heat input is very targeted and confined to local areas.
Plasma Transferred Arc (PTA) cladding is a process used both for directly applying hardfacing and for applying a matrix material around tungsten carbide tiles. Bearings and journals for mud motors, as well as flow diverters and some stabilizers are common applications for PTA cladding.
Direct applied hardfacing is typically 60% spherical tungsten carbide in a nickel-based matrix which is a process Welding Solutions offers in both OD and ID applications.Laser Welding Solutions also has the ability to apply tungsten carbide tiles for wear resistance. We have experience with both round 'button' type carbides as well as rectangular 'brick' type carbides and PTA cladding the nickel-based matrix around the tiles.

MyShopLaser offers high quality mobile laser welding and cladding of critical components. Your part is too large or too expensive to tear down and ship? Your delivery schedule is critical and you do not want to settle for a lesser quality arc welding process? No problem! Contact us and we will determine if your part qualifies for our MyShop Laser service.
3D printing is quickly evolving from a specialized technique primarily used in rapid prototyping to a mainstream manufacturing technology. In a modern production environments it compliments the traditionally ways of making parts through castings or machining by utilizing a range of additive manufacturing techniques.
