Sabumnim Martial Arts Academy
Work together individually, or with your family, to gain self-confidence through self-defense training in the Martial Arts! Master & Mrs. Brown founded SaBumNim Martial Arts Academy in an effort to fulfill his long time dream of owning his own school.

It was founded as a place where families could learn martial arts together in a low pressure, positive, environment where doing the right thing and working hard to get a little better at what you do every day are more important than the color of your belt.Rick was appointed to the title of Master through the Global HapKiDo Association and the International HapKiDo Federation.
Services
HapKiDo or Hap Ki Do is a complete self-defense system; it incorporates the redirection of force found in Aikido The devastating joint locks and throws found in Aikijutsu. Judo techniques that include various chokes, sweeps, joint locks, and other grappling techniques. The kicking technique of Tae Kwon Do and the ancient Korean Art of Taekyon.
Boxing is extremely well-organized; and seeks to integrate and explore the entire spectrum of established fighting arts and body conditioning techniques, as well as mental development training. While Grappling Kick-Boxing teaches discipline to always avoid conflict, we train in order to defend, fight and finish on the ground should it become necessary.

The school needs to be checking over r@cism. Also, there was a review about how the students feeling were ignored and how some teachers " care about someone's hair colour more than their mental-wellbeing "(on the other reviews). I also got told about how they would remove some palestinlan flags but would keep an lsraeIi flag (the non-existent flag) saying how they are "neutral" on p0litics. But yet, they do that 2 minute silence thing for the people that di3d in the war. Anyways free paIestine until it's backwards!!!!

This school is a total joke. Our children are forced to take classes they do not want to do ( in year 9 when they choose options, RE is continied to be forced on them as GCSE when they dont want to do it). They are forced to wear uniforms to conform to standards and told to remove whatever they dont like them wearing whatever the weather. some of the teachers need to take a look at their own clothing. Children are stopped from being individuals. Their feelings, fears and troubles are ignored. The school have issues over hair, nails bags, coats and shoes again I say the teachers need to take a hard

Hair, nails and bag rules are stupid. A hairstyle cannot distract a student from their learning, same with bags and nails.

I'm going there for secondary. I had my induction day and the whole application process seems so easy. The school itself seems so welcoming but also academically it is a great school.

This is an appalling school! The teachers are very bad and don’t care about their students, I regret sending my child to this school. The teachers do not help the students in any way and are not responsible furthermore they don’t even take the parents seriously they do what THEY think is best and believe me what they think is best is definitely not the best decision. Also why are they deciding on behalf of you, it’s your child and you know what best for them. As I said before it is an appalling school, please do not send your children to this school

My daughter started here in September this year. I was very impressed to see how quickly they settled her in and made her feel comfortable in the school, particularly since she came from a very small primary. There's a big emphasis on all the students being kind and helping one another, which shows in their brilliant 'guardian group' system (where they meet regularly in a small group with an adult guardian and a mix of children from all the other years). Of course, it's a different ball-game academically from primary, but she's enjoying stretching herself and says the teaching is clear and the

I have 2 children, both attended St Mary Magdalene Academy, in fact one is still there and about to sit his exams...I couldn't be happier with their education and they are always so positive about their school experience. The teachers are so helpful and always available for both the students and parents. Year 11 is a tough year for kids but the help/extra sessions on offer there- I am not surprised it is one of the hardest schools to get in to. I know friends with children in primary school are doing everything they can to get their child into the Academy. I have no regrets sending my kids there

My son started in March of this year! He's gained so much confidence from working with the Browns even his teacher saw improvements toward the end of the school year. I cannot thank the Browns enough for what they have done for Gage without even knowing it! It's the best money I've ever spent and I look forward to what my son can do and accomplish in life because he started taking hapkido class here!
