Perfect by Design started out thanks to someone mentioning to Dr. Dawn Thomas and her husband that chiropractic might be worth a try for their daughter's challenges. As their daughter was unable to speak much and didn't have the usual abilities of a child her age, Dr. Dawn and her husband were very concerned.
Dr. Dawn started out in the medical field as a registered nurse for ten years prior to being introduced to chiropractic. She spent many years working on a cardiac step-down unit in a hospital in Lima, Ohio. She also subbed for the school nurse at the school that her children attended. Dr. Dawn thoroughly enjoyed spending time at the school and interacting with the students.
Neurologically-based chiropractic care is focused on balancing the Nervous System. This balance is essential for proper growth and development during pregnancy, childhood, and throughout life. The nervous system controls each and every function in the body. By balancing the nervous system, Dr. Dawn is helping the body function as it was so precisely created to do.
At first glance, most people don't see the connection between chiropractic and pregnancy. However, there are four stages in which having an optimally working nervous system can help both mother and child. Chiropractic care prepares the body to be as strong, supple and balanced as possible to carry the pregnancy.

Had an amazing experience being adjusted while pregnant. I had my son last year and had terrible pelvic pain which I had to endure, I was constantly told there was nothing that could have been done, fast forward to 2021 with my current pregnancy and similar issues, I am relieved to have found Perfect by Design chiropractor.. they are making my pregnancy alot better.

I had never been to a Chiropractor before but was told by my midwife during my third pregnancy to give it a try due to back pain and baby's position. My baby was sunny side up and after a long/hard labor with my second child who was delivered that way I did not want to go through that again if possible. Dr. Dawn was so calming and helpful right from the start. She came up with a treatment plan and within a few adjustments my lower back pain was literally gone. Dr. Dawn is amazing and Dr. Holly is so personable and easy to relate to. Very knowledgeable, professional and friendly staff. I love going to see them. Had numbness in my right hand that woke me at night when sleeping. After just one visit I was able to sleep thru the night without it bothering me.
