Dr. K Cheyn Gunnerson grew up in what was a small community at the base of Big Cottonwood Canyon in Salt Lake City. He saw dentistry as an art, a way to build not only a beautiful smile but health and confidence in oneself. After graduating from the University of Utah with a B.S. in Medical Biology, he went on to attend dental school at The Oregon Health & Science University School of Dentistry, graduating in the top 5% of his class.

Gunnerson has far surpassed any expectations I ever had!!!! It felt more like a luxury spa than a dental office - freaking amazing!! My little one has always been scared of going to to the dentist, but after coming here she can’t wait to come again! Love the staff - so nice a courteous. Very amazing! I would recommend them to anyone!!!

Being new to Payson, I reached out to my FB family and asked for a referral. Gunnerson Dental led the response. Then at a chamber event was given a tour of the facility and listened to Dr. Gunnerson share his passion for what he does and show-off his beautiful facility. I personally hate going to the dentist, but after the tour, even I was excited to give them a try. I felt like a VIP on my initial visit, the cleaning was super thorough, and the entire staff continue to treat me like royalty with each visit. Highly recommend the people at Gunnerson (not just the doctor) to take excellent care of

I went to these guys for 3 years. Dr. Gunnerson is very knowledgeable and is a skilled dentist.
However, I’ve recently switched for a few reasons:
1) every time I go in, I feel like I’m being sold something. Even with no cavities, I still leave with an almost $300 bill for sealants??
2) I am a coffee drinker and every time I went in I felt like I was getting shamed/ told to stop drinking coffee, even when I had zero cavities & nothing wrong. It made me feel embarrassed/insecure a lot.
3) the wait time is ridiculous, and I it wouldn’t be an issue if the doc came in and took his time. But

I had the opportunity to have my teeth whitened using a new GLO whitening system. Sherrie was my hygienist and did such an amazing job. I have done other whitening and was super sensitive to the point I didn't want to continue. I had absolutely no sensitivity with the GLO. Sherrie did such a good job explaining every step and helping me understand the process. I am so lucky to have such a great dentist who has such an amazing team!!

I would highly recommend Gunnerson Dental for anyone who has anxiety and fear about going to the dentist. They are very sympathetic and take great care in making you feel comfortable and at ease. I had a very traumatic experience 6 years ago and refused to go to the dentist ever again. However, to be healthy I had to return to the dentist. I looked around for almost a year before deciding to go to Gunnerson. Everyone was so kind and caring, from the office staff to the hygienist to the dentist. They really let you be in control and they listen 100%. I am glad I chose this dentist to go to and wish
