Sometimes, they're problematic for plumbers, but, we're pretty fond of them. You know how a big (and sometimes small) tree is able to grow its roots into sewer pipes deep underground? At DiG, our roots are like that. Our owner's roots run deep in this community and the industry. DiG is owned and operated by Nicholas Born.
Nicholas grew up in rural Southeast Kansas. He started his plumbing career as soon as he was old enough to carry a shovel and gopher materials and tools from the van for his grandfather, Dave Gall, affectionately referred to as Pa, whom owned and operated Roto-Rooter for Cherokee County, Kansas. More important than the technical knowledge, Nicholas learned at a young age the value of quality work and happy customers.

Services
We'll be headed to your house or business ASAP. DiG is a locally-owned excavation and plumbing company. We love southeast Kansans and believe you deserve quality solutions for the everyday issues and projects at a fair price in a timely manner. We offer our clients a wide range of services from repairing water leaks, clearing clogged drains, putting in new plumbing systems and lateral lines to dirt work and fence building.
To be clear, DiG isn't one of those businesses where it's "all in the name." While we offer a variety plumbing and excavation services, there are lots of other things we are really good at that may or may not be related. Spending money on pipes hidden in your walls stinks. We get that. At DiG, we want to keep your water flowing and your pipes draining while keeping money in your pocket.
We reduce joints. Less joints=less problemsUnless specified by the customer, we use Class A PEX pipe for potable water supply systems. No chemical welded joint, no threaded joints, and no harsh bends not only means less problems down the road, but also means better flow. Increased flow means more pressure at your shower head or kitchen faucet.
We bet you're here because you have a problem with your water pipes, your drains, or something that's connected to those things. Our customers are always welcome to call and tell us how we can help them over the phone. We dig conversations. If the plumbing challenge requires more of a problem solving approach, we can get you on the schedule and have a licensed professional to your home or business ASAP.

Dig Excavation and Plumbing is the business of Nick and Jessica Born. My family hosts a biannual vintage show at our family barn and Nick has worked for us on some very unusual projects. He will tackle anything you ask of him, and do it with a professional attitude, a willing spirit and a smile on his face. He is a talented tradesman and can literally do anything. When you hire him, you can count on an exceptional work ethic and a dedication to quality work. I would highly recommend Nick Born and Dig Excavation and Plumbing for any project that he can help you with.
