Honest truth. They were inconsistent in coming to the agreed weekly cleanup. And when they did actually come, the gardener only stayed for 10 minutes, leaving the job incomplete. I never got refunded for all the countless times they flaked, and what blows is you prepay for their service. LISTEN TO ALL NEGATIVE REVIEWS, THEY ARE 100% SPEAKING THE TRUTH.

DISHONEST!!!! They cashed my check for $330 for services they didn't provide! I wanted to mulch and start a service with them, but then cancelled the mulch so should be owed $180 back. I WAS GOING TO STOP PAYMENT BUT Ling said on 6/25/21 the check won't be deposited but it got cashed anyway, then she told me the refund would be mailed. On 7/9/21 I spoke to Cesar Cruz and he *said* because I was also unhappy with the service, he'd refund that to me too. As of today, no refund. Their gardener also did terrible work, hacking at my mature rosemary bush and vines, blowing the leaves

A family member uses this service. We have a 12 time contract. Meaning they show up 4 times a month for 3 months. They've only showed up 7 times out of the 11 weeks we have employed them. Constant excuses & lies why they didn't show up or just not showing up without saying anything.
They don't do what we ask, they leave a mess on both out yard & the neighbors yards.

Having to take care of family property while one is not living in the same state as the property is a daunting task. I found SGV Gardener via Yelp in 2019. Ling was awesome in communicating and providing pictures of the property before the work was done and also after. They arrive on the day scheduled...again, I'm not there to oversee...and the work gets done to my satisfaction. Just used them again two weeks ago and I would use them again for the cleanup on the property.

BUYER BEWARE!!! This company will make every promise in the world to get you to sign a contract. Please save yourself stress & money by saying NO!!!Ling in particular is good at using the phrase "no problem". It's all lies and empty promises. They are one of the most dishonest and unprofessional companies I've ever encountered. I had to almost beg for a refund. Please do your homework and look for someone through a referral instead. Cesar, their field supervisor, is the only employee that was helpful and made sure to follow through. Regardless, please don't give this

They charged me for 12 services with a contract for 4 services a month for 3 months. At the end of the contract period, they had only been to my property 7 times. Of the times they did show up, they straight up refused to do what I asked in the yard once. Another 2 or 3 times they showed up on the day after my trash pickup instead of the day that they were supposed to, so I ended up with 2 services and only 1 green barrel.
At the end of the contract, I fired them and demanded a refund for the 5 times they didn't show up, and was basically told to go screw myself. I'm determined to get my money

I requested quotes through Angie's List for our overgrown yard and SGV Gardening was by far the most thorough. Great customer service from Ling! Ling gave thoughtful and detailed suggestions for our yard and walked us through the process of initial clean up and maintenance service. We are out of town and Ling was able to accommodate all our concerns, from taking photos for proof of work and online payment.
Work was done swiftly and cleanly and I'm so happy with the results!

This place is a total racket and will basically try to steal money from you. My parents hired them to service the yard and they have missed multiple days that we pre-paid for. First they missed a day in July. My mom calls and they said they would make it up. Then they write up a contract for a 3 month prepaid period and leave out the day they owe us. Also, they had said they were going to do a lye treatment on the grass in the front lawn. This never happened. Next they don't show on Labor Day. My mother calls and they said they don't work on holidays but they charge for them. "It

Called SGV for major clean up and irrigation system. They came the next day and gave better rates than the other companies.
Did the job as I wanted and cleaned up after themselves. They delivered 5 star service with 5 star rates. I will definitely recommend them. Will use your services again soon for my next project.

Don't wasted your time with this company. False promises and constant excuses after the first couple of services. You will be spending much of your time managing them to get sub par results. Even at the end when we both agreed that this was not working and they would refund the remaining amount prepaid, I have still not gotten the refund after 3 month and constant follow up. More excuses again. Will this ever change?
