McKay Enterprises is a family owned design build company. Alan and Sandy have over 30 years experience in construction. Along with general contracting experience, we have "hands on experience" in most trades. Alan has 4 years studying structural engineering at ODU and 2 years drafting at ATC. We can also design your project and prepare your construction drawings (blue prints and specifications).
With our education and experience we can take your ideas and needs and develop a design and construction drawings for your project. If you sign a construction contract with us, the design and plans are FREE. We can work with you on design and plans even if you already have a builder or chose another builder.

We have never had a house built or a room addition but we decided to have a double garage with a full loft built. We hired McKay Enterprises, Inc. to do this work. They did quality work at a good value, were very professional, responded to all our requests in a timely fashion. My husband and I needed our second story porch rebuilt after finding out the product that was used as supports were never meant to be used outdoors! We called several construction companies for quotes and to find out what needed to be done. Well all three companies told us it was a TOTAL tear down. That meant new stairs, roofing,flooring ,screening, framing, and replacing the cultured stone. Like holly cow! The prices ranged from 42thousand to 68thousand.We didn’t understand why it couldn’t be done insections and save 90% of it. They all said NO, can’t be done.So we made one more phone call

McKay Enterprises built a two car garage on my property this year, it was a large 30X30 sq ft detached project. They took care of everything required to build it to include the County Permit always meeting the inspectors when they scheduled a time. Alan and Sandy both or professionals, courtesy, they kept me informed every step of the way that not only included date/times when deliveries were made by various delivery company's but each week sending me detailed to the penny costs of what had been done that week and the rest of what was to be done.
