The Pellitteri tradition of service began in Madison more than 65 years ago when the Pellitteri brothers (Tom's father and uncles) used a borrowed truck to deliver coal and haul away garbage for Capital square merchants. Steady business and a strong dedication to customer service ensured the growth of the business to a point at which the Pellitteri brothers purchased their own trucks and built a respected reputation in the disposal business.

Honestly it’s a shame I can’t rate 0/5 stars. This company is ridiculous. If you can avoid their residential services I suggest you do everything possible to avoid them.
Residential bins $60+ for garbage, $60 for recycling. They will deliver the bins to your house and then never pick up your garbage. Its been a month, I call every week to figure out why they can’t pickup the garbage and every week it’s a different excuse.
Last week their driver couldn’t service because “the alleys were blocked”…. Yet the construction deliveries and dumpster pickups had no issues. When I called

Critical: Professionalism
This is one of the most unintelligent businesses that I've had to deal with. They cannot hold a consistent route schedule and my trash is often not picked up. Contacting them about the issues simply results in them asking you to wait until the next weekly cycle. It is unacceptable.

Trash/recycling picked up before 6am. Talked to the city and the organization. Happens about once a month even though they said they wouldn't come before 7am. (They still arrive way before 7am) They don't comply with noise ordinances or respect residents at the condo building.
Earlier in 2021 this condo association was told the trash would be picked up after 7am. That hasn't happened. A LIE. This complaint was not taken seriously and the invite to call is pointless. The staff at Pellitteri Waste Systems is wonderful to work with. Joe is very prompt with customer service and taking care of us. If we need to schedule extra trash pick up's, he responds right away and gets us on the schedule next day if at all possible. His drivers are respectful. If our gates in the back are closed, the driver will come into the office and ask us to open them up for them instead of just driving off. This is very appreciated! Keep up the great work!

Joe at Pelliteri was a life saver for myself and our festival. We contracted with Pelliteri through Joe for waste removal at the Sun Prairie Corn Festival after running up against several barriers around the festival needs, which are outside the normal disposal cycle. When we explained our unique and special needs, Joe got to work to see how he could make it work. He was so responsive and helpful and willing to think outside the box. He was not only able to meet the needs of the festival but in the process saved the festival from a very smelly and unappealing situation. I am so thank for all that

We contracted the services of Pelleteri to do a one-time on-site shredding job of some sensitive documents. From the very first call to the follow-up confirmation calls to the actual day of the shredding appointment, we had a delightful, professional and courteous experience. We swithed to Pellitteri back in 2017. They have helped us cut costs in our general trash pick-up and our recycling program. I find the drivers make changes in our scheduled pickup times if they see we are not filling our trash/recycling bins. The service we receive is professional and responsive when we have special requests. If you haven't priced these services lately I would recommend you do and get a proposal from Pellitteri.

I have been using Pelliteri Waste Systems for two years now. Service has been good. Work with in the past with Waste Management which was more expensive and charged for small overfills and most of the time the dumpster where never full. Of course they never figured that in. Contracts were also an issue and you did not give proper notice you were tied in for another period of time.

Recycling bin was not picked up for another time and when I called about it nothing was done to rectify it. I am one of two homes on my side of the street that need pick up. The neighbor on my side and everyone else in my neighborhood were picked up. My bin was closed and not overflowing.No one was parked in front of it. There has to be a way of picking this up without waiting another 2 weeks. I have always thought of Pellitari as a excellent company. This why this is so disappointing.

Terrible price transparency. They charged us double the original price because one piece of furniture was above the rim of our dumpster and they had to use the automated tarp to cover the load. DOUBLE for that. At no point did they mention that was a possibility. Had we known, we would have cut the piece down to fit. They also didn't mention they were keeping our credit card info on file so they could charge us more after the initial payment...shady. Oh, and they were days late to pick the dumpster up. I had to call them to remind them we had it. They didn't even have us on the books
