I was on the State of Wisconsin's Dept. of Regulation and Licensing committee, to assist with the origination of the Standards of Practice exam when Wisconsin rules dictated registration of Home Inspectors in 1998. I served as Vice President of the Madison Chapter of the Wisconsin Association of Home Inspectors at that time and later became education director for several terms.
I believe in educating home owners during an inspection so they become better acquainted with their home. Services
A pre-purchase Home Inspection (Buyers Inspection) is performed using the Standard of Practice for the State of Wisconsin. It is a visual inspection of the various components of the home to protect you the buyer from unforeseen costly repairs that you may not be aware of.
Obviously these defects will need to be in a condition that is visible to the naked eye as we inspectors can not disassemble the various components as we do not have permission to do so.Covers to various equipment such as the electrical and furnace panels are removed other wise they just can't be inspected as these areas pertain not only to possible repair needs but also as a health and safety potential issue.

We recently had the pleasure of working with Warren and Jason on a home we are purchasing. Unlike other inspectors we called, they were able to do well, septic and home inspection. Both were both very knowledgeable and very personable. I would definitely recommend them to someone looking for a home inspection. Warren actually had surgery the morning of the inspection and still showed up to go over the septic and the well. Great guys to work with!

Warren was great to work with. He went through the entire house thoroughly and was great at answering any questions we had. He gave us advice on the lifetime of our water heater, AC unit, etc. and tips on how to care for them. I felt confident at the end that we had a good inspection, and I would definitely work with him again.

Warren is a family friend of my family's. He has done past home inspections for my parents so I knew he was someone to go to and trust when my husband and I found a home we wanted to purchase. We had Warren do two home inspections for us, including well and septic tests, while looking for a new home. During the first inspection he made us aware of several serious issues that couldn't be resolved easily or quickly but were not obvious to the casual eye. He saved us from getting into a nightmare, and a smelly one at that!! The seller’s ended up being thankful for Warren’s report though as they were not aware of some of the issues and are taking steps to resolve them make their home more likely to sell this spring.

Warren was wonderful to work with. He fit my inspection into his schedule quickly and provided me not only with a lot information at the inspection, but on the phone which was important to me when looking for a quality inspector willing to take time to explain things thoroughly. He is very personable and thorough. I was thankful for his expertise during the time of my home purchase.
