Dr. Katie is originally from Duluth, MN and graduated from the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine.

My name is Heide, I started at Eagle River Animal Hospital in 2019 working as a Veterinary Assistant. I live in Eagle River with my husband, Jason, and three kids, Christopher, Addy, and Ava Jo. I share my home with two pups, Venus and Zeus. In my spare time, I love to conquer fitness goals and I have completed an ultramarathon.

This is a great place! The girls and Dr. Katie were amazing. Blondie was nervous but they made it easy for her and took their time to make sure that she was comfortable. They walked me step by step for cost as I was working on a budget and we were able to keep it under my budget! I will continue to bring my pets here!

My daughter and her family came up from Texas for a visit. The second day they were here their dog got sick. She kept throwing up and when I explained what was going on they took her in right away even though she is not a regular. They did tests and told us what to do to make her feel better. My daughter was very impressed with the service we received. I would give them a 5 star rating

My family and I have had nothing but bad experiences here. Choose anywhere else locally and youll have a much better time. I'm sure the people who work here are all kind and do their best, but have been surprised how many times they have not been able to meet basic needs when in extreme emergency situations.

I have a Golden Retriever approaching 14 years old in August. I was having an issue with his neurological health and Dr. Katie ordered a complete blood panel on him. His panel results were excellent so she and I are trying different approaches to make his final time with me comfortable and safe for him. Dr. Katie communicates with me and doesn't give up. I've gone to ER Animal Hospital for years and wouldn't think of going anywhere else.
