Founder and Chairman of the Board Stephen L. Rosedale established the CommuniCare Family of Companies in 1984. As a young man, Steve worked in various healthcare environments and developed a passion for caring. He continued to study the art and science of aging at Brandeis University, where he sparked a close relationship with Professor Morrie Schwartz (of the famous book, "Tuesdays with Morrie").

In our skilled nursing centers, we offer two lines of service: skilled nursing rehabilitation and long-term care. This Communicare Healthcare service Corporation Network delivers the worst quality of care I've ever witnessed. A clueless group which cannot run a business.The Oxford Healthcare Center operated by Communicare Corporate in Indianapolis is closing displacing 40 to 50 residents because it failed. This place was decrepit with constant mechanical failure such as HVAC and Plumbing After reviewing what our father and us went through with violations and refusals of ordinary care of staff who swept issues under the rug due to poor hiring practices. I had a skin rash so I made an appointment. The night before the appointment I started having symptoms of an UTI. My appointment was scheduled at 8:00 am. At 8: 50 they had not called me yet. They finally called me at 8:55!!! When I told the nurse I was also having the symptoms of an UIT she said the doctor COULD ONLY see me for ONE reason.
What can of business is this? They make me lose one hours of work, but can't see me for my skin rash and the UIT? I am not coming back. Horrible service.

Worked there for over a decade. Used to be a great place to work for, but not anymore. Loyalty and hard work don't mean much to management and are taken for granted. Employee recognition is a joke. Communicare Cares is non-existent, and the stuff listed on their website has not been done in years. New managers being hired in are apparently soul-less robots.

Horrible company I worked scheduled hours for facility in Dayton come pay day NO CHECK interim administrator Kim G from Clifton location has nasty attitude very unprofessional 1 week later still NO CHECK called payroll 3 different days Payroll employee stated AGAIN Kim has not turned in any verification. This is ridiculous. Don’t work for this company if want to get paid for your work!
