The funeral home also specializes in preplanning for funeral arrangements which assists in alleviating some of the stress that accompanies the emotions at a time of grief. When advanced planning is done by an individual, the family and friends will know the wishes of the deceased.
Since the family usually wants to follow the decisions made by the deceased, having the loved one's choices already documented assists the family in making the final arrangements.When a person is in a nursing home, ill, or lives away from the area and cannot make their own personal prearrangements, the family may decide to make some arrangements before death occurs.

The loss of a pet can be a very difficult time for anyone, as pets are indeed a deeply valued part of the family. The staff at Maddox Funeral Home knows that when a pet has been a steadfast friend, confidant, and companion, this loss can be devastating. We also know that like any human loved one, a pet who has provided companionship, loyalty, love, and devotion deserves to be given a respectful farewell.

Absolutely a five star organization. My family found ourselves in a situation where the plans that were planned were not enough! The entire process has been a nightmare because of the unscrupulous cemetery . Maddox Funeral Home stepped in, stepped up and held my hand through this painful process. Nothing but professional. Nothing but respectful and nothing but the best! Torena Bar took me by the hand and walk me through the nightmare. I will be forever grateful for the kindness and gentleness I was was given. Highly recommend them to you. You won’t find better. Look for my review later on the

Maddox has handled services professionally for decades. The services that I have attended there have all been respectful, professional, and beautiful. An important institution in Front Royal, for sure.

Casey Loyd errors filing an improper death certificate based on misinformation after I specifically told her what to do and what not to do - has made a sad situation more miserable and now unable to take care of my moms estate due to her horrible customer service and not listening to me.
With that said, Mr. Maddox who has personally taken over is a true gentleman and I am thankful for him looking after my mother during this very hard time and getting things done that needed to be done properly. I will update once I finally get the proper death certificate, which nearly 2 months later I have not

Excellent Funeral Home, Handled the death of loved ones with care and respect.
They are and have always been very professional for multiple family members, and close friends arrangements.
While posting this I see other reviewers are highly upset over specific personnel. Having worked with the entire staff, I would surmise there may have been from some misconceptions on their end, as everyone at Maddox, especially their two Notaries Public have always taken the time to doublecheck everything before moving forward, and have always helped me fix any errors I may have made before signing anything

Took my cat Mr shaker's to get cremated and worked with woman named PAM. Requested his collar be removed which also had his cat tag on it with his name and in quotations "best cat". I was told everything was noted but long story short it was not. I did not receive my cats collar or tag back. On top of that I was lied to by pam that she tried to contact paws and remember which is the company the animals are sent out to for cremation. Let me make it very clear "paws and remember" WAS NOT at fault. I waited a week before I contacted pam and was lied to that she left a message at the wrong number for
