Eric came out to look at the job and seemed very knowledgeable and friendly. He said the estimate would be emailed the next week. No estimate in spite of several phone calls and emails. Maybe the job was too small? Common courtesy would have had his office call to say they wouldn't do the job. I have used them in the past with good results. I'm very disappointed and will not call them again.

Eric came out right away to see what we needed done and was very accommodating when I wanted the job completed over two days (it could have been done in one), because I was trying to solve an attic rat problem. I wanted them to uncover the hole under the Spanish tile the rats had been using to get in and out, then allow me to cover it late at night after the rats had gone out for their nightly hunting. I didn't want rats trapped in the house. It worked great. I temporarily closed up the hole at 11pm and the next morning the roofers closed it up more securely before laying down the new tar

Absolute WORST company I have ever worked with. We paid upfront (big mistake) then they kept pushing the job back. First they didn't have the correct permits, then the work failed inspection, then they were booked up doing other jobs (keep in mind they cashed out check. They started about a month late which pushed our entire remodel behind. When they finally finished I found that they had thrown all the rusty nails into my yard, where my child plays. It took several phone calls to get anyone to come out and clean them up. To top it all off we found that the roof was done incorrectly. The over hang

Same experience as other 1 star reviews. Took the day off from work to meet Eric For an estimate. 3 follow-up calls and several months later, nothing. No response, no call back, no explanation. Total waste of time.
From my end, it looks like business is so good that Massie / Eric can pick and choose their jobs and blow everyone else off. With so many 1 star reviews, I wouldn't risk using these guys. You'll be stuck with their roof for the next 25 years which is a really long time to wait for a call back when it starts to leak.

Our experience was similar to Melissa K's -- Eric came out, spent over an hour talking to us and giving us recommendations and measuring our roof. Then he disappeared and never returned our phone calls. What a waste of time, and a complete lack of professional courtesy. In retrospect I suspect that the job was simply too complicated for Eric and his team.

Responded very quickly to our request for an estimate following wind damage to roof of our garage (Pasadena 12/1/2011). Provided estimate within a day or two and scheduled us for repair a few days thereafter. They arrived at 7:30 a.m with 4 roofers (workmen) to do the work and they were finished by 12 noon. Two supervisors, including Gary Moore, checked on the progress throughout the work. Pleasant to deal with. Their final bill was reasonable; their work was good. We were very happy with this service, recommend them highly and would use them again

This group has been in Pasadena and was recommended, our experience with them was awful. We are purchasing a home with a 25 plus year old roof. We will need to replace this roof but it will NOT be with Massie Roofing. After contacting them twice they would not even talk to me as a buyer, only the seller. We got the seller to agree and the estimator Gary came out, only to launch into a 20 minute pitch about how he hates working for buyers as they never hire him to do the work.
