If you have not been recycling, then you are making a wrong decision. If you make the choice to get started recycling, then you can begin making the right decisions. It is unfortunate how few people actually recycle. It is also unfortunate that people do not realize how many Core recycling facilities are available.
Your vehicle has a large number of metal parts on it, and all of those pieces are recyclable. When you have an older vehicle that isn't running, or when you have metal parts from your engine that are no longer working properly, don't just throw them away. Make sure that you recycle them properly. Metal is a hot commodity in the recycling world, and you might just find that you can make some money selling the scrap metal parts from your vehicle.
Batteries contain harmful materials that, if exposed to water or earth, could cause serious pollution, not to mention health problems in the area wildlife. There is nothing worse that the possibility of heavy metals and caustic chemicals leaking into our water supply. That is why it is so vital that all batteries with ni-cad and lithium ion be disposed of the right way - through recycling.
Biomedical waste refers to any sharps, infectious waste, and treated infectious waste that must be disposed of in a certain way. While it is most common for this type of waste to exist in a facility like a hospital, you may have biomedical waste at home that you need to dispose of, particularly if someone in your household suffers from a condition requiring regular injections.
The California Redemption Value, or CRV, is a handy program that ends up paying you back for doing the right thing. The initials stand for a program that sets the price recycling plants pay for you to drop off your cans, glass bottles, and plastic containers. With recycling being so easy these days, why wouldn't you want to take advantage of a program that pays you for doing nothing?

This facility has always had convenient access and hours, and a helpful, friendly staff to help you unload. But they started charging for most items now. They are paid for old TVs and monitors, and old computers have some residual value, but most everything else is charged for starting June 2015.

This company littered our neighborhood with 2 illegal flyers per residence and when I called to ask them to remove them and pick up the ones that had blown to the ground, I was interrupted and the poor behavior was justified by the rude manager. They care more about profit than the municipal code or the environment!

Spoke to someone great on the phone; she explained everything. I would say if you can go during the week it will be faster to get in and get out. It was a joy to recycle with Recycle San Diego and will do it again

Easy to find, easy to get to.
They removed the computer from the back of my car and that was it.
Simple, efficient service.
