I grew up in a multi-generational construction family who specialized in Residential & Commercial Construction in beautiful New Orleans, Louisiana. With many years of running construction crews, estimating costs for potential new projects to being a part of historical preservation projects in the City of New Orleans, my experiences have provided me with an affinity for seeing beyond closed walls.

I hired Design Appruv to design a free standing Accesory Dwelling Unit (ADU) on my property because they had a low price, specialized in ADU's, and because the owner told me during the sales process that they could also help with construction after the plans were made. Overall, I got a good vibe about them as a new company.
Unfortunately this turned out to be a poor decision on my part. I found that the company is inexperienced, poor and slow with communication, and so careless with drawing plans.

We used Design Appruv for two projects: 1) A large backyard and deck renovation and 2) ADU for over our garage. For both projects, Seth and his team (we worked with Jason) have been amazing....very responsive, very efficient and provided plans that exceeded our expectations. They worked with us on making revisions to ensure the plans were exactly what we wanted and also coached us through the process and options to ensure we could stay within our budget. We highly recommend Seth and his team!

When it came time to find draftsman for my permits, I spoke to a friend of mine who had recently gone through the same process. He recommended Design Appruv, who helped him straighten out a code enforcement violation.
I'm glad I went to Design Appruv first! Within a few weeks they were able to take care of everything and get the building permits issued. No one wants to deal with code enforcement violations. Design Appruv was super helpful and their process made everything easy.
