I drove all around Houston for a Bail bondsman for my sister and all of them were a too complicated or made the whole process really difficult. I came to Blackwood Bail Bonds and the staff here is super lovely and super courteous to all the questions I had. I didn't have the full amount to bond out my sister but they were nice enough to arrange a payment plan for me they really go the extra mile to help you !

I glad I never gave this place money based on other reviews it would be bad.
I was arrested for theft, I left a domestic violence situation a few weeks ago and have no money so i stole something to sell to get money. I know it was wrong but sometimes you do anything to get away from abuser.
This bonding company contacted my abusive ex to tell him I was in jail and needed to be bonded.
I don't know how they found out about me or found him to contact, I have no money so no way to bond. So my ex did the bond and they released me but they want money from me now to finish paying it. Now my ex won

Very helpful company! A couple of days ago we couldn't find my little brother and we didn't know where to look for him, until this company called me to notify me that he was in Jail! They made everything so much easier for me by taking my payment and avoiding having to drive to downtown to get my brother out of jail they did everything for me! I just want to thank all the lovely ladies in the office for their help! I totally recommend!!!!

Unprofessional! I received a call from Sophia saying I have a warrant for my arrest so I asked for all the information and the necessary steps to take. She bombards me via text wanting to know when I was planning on getting there. She refuses to give me a copy of the police report and said she would provide it when I got there. Then she calls me AGAIN to ask the same question...when I was coming. I can understand her sense of urgency because they want the money but there's a professional way to go about it. Your asking me to drive Downtown on a work day for me. She definitely needs some additional

These people are crooks. They gave me a call letting me know that I had a friend in jail, and asked me to pay the fee of $200. I paid and later received a text saying that another bail bond company beat them to it so they would be reimbursing me $120 but I still had to pay $80 because somebody went and waited in line. Essentially they had me pay $80 to have somebody wait in line for no reason. Scam artists.

The reviews about SOPHIA are all true. DON'T DO BUSINESS with this company. I know you're in a rush to help your family member but check another company to verify. Sophia is rude unprofessional and likes to talk down to you. I'm not that person! Understand you are the customer and DO NOT have to tolerate her behavior. Find another company I'm warning you it's in your BEST interest. Blackwood needs to part ways with sophia, she is NOT good for business.

If a good and knowledgeable bonding company is what you are looking for, then this is the place. We unfortunately had some issue's trying to get a bond for my brother, and after dealing with some not some friendly bonding companies I came across their office. Right off the bat, the lady on the phone was so informative and polite. She took the time to explain the process and how everything worked. These girls ROCK here! I was in a bind and called the office in the middle of the night. She went right to work! Later that morning, another lady took over and didnt stop working until she was able to locate him. In the mean time, I called 4 other bails bond locations and they too were unable to locate him. She kept making phone calls, went over and beyond and we found him! approx 3 hours later, bonds posted and he was out!!! I don't EVER want to go through this again, but if you're reading this and can't decide who to go with. I HIGHLY recommend this team. She EVEN covered our lunch

A good while back, we had an issue requiring the services of a bail bonds company. I was at a loss as to what to do, since I had no experience with the crimal side of the legal system. On the recommendation of a family member, I went to Blackwood. They were fast, professional, and courteous. Even though the city/county took their own sweet time processing things, Blackwood handled the affair as quickly as possible. There alot of gimmicky named bail bonds places out there that are kinda seedy. Blackwood Bail Bonds is a respectable bonds company that understands your not a lowlife just because you got wrapped up in a case, crap happens to the best of us and we need to be bailed out until we can prove our innocence.
