My wife and I grew up in Salmon, and we choose the Stagecoach when we come back home for a visit and need a motel. The rooms are clean and comfy, the staff pleasant and helpful, and the prices reasonable. The motel is conveniently located and an easy walk to downtown Main Street. We love the view overlooking the river and the relaxation it provides.

Got a king room overlooking the river and loved it. Great shower, comfortable bed, the sound of the river and walking distance to a great restaurant with full bar. Perfect stay.

Was working in town on a wildfire just north of Salmon. Me and our crew were on night shift protecting Gibbionsville, ID. When we first booked the rooms we booked for 7days as it’s never really known how long night shift will last. They would not accept government rates which is fine it’s their right not to. Two days into our stay I booked our rooms for another week so we had rooms for our entire 14 days. 7 days into our stay maids are knocking on our doors and the office is calling the phones in the rooms telling us we need to get out so the rooms can be cleaning for other guests. I really liked this place! Great breakfast and rooms were clean.
Location was perfect.
Customer Service, however was horrible. I had the displeasure of Lacey, who was on duty at the time I discovered I had been double billed. I would of thought by her nasty disposition it was her bank account being charged. Might want to help this girl with how to work with the public. Won't be back.

Sorry to say but this place was a disappointment. Especially considering the WAY inflated price paid for the room. Yes the rooms were clean enough but the whole place looks to me like it could use a serious face lift. Just felt a bit depressed while I was there, and I don't feel that way very often. And I'm sure I will relive the feeling when I open up the bill. One more thing, the staff were all very nice and hard working, I fault ownership.

Leaving Boise after lunch, we made a leisurely trip over ID 21 and 75 to enjoy the challenging drive to Lowman, where we picked up the Ponderosa Pine and Salmon River Scenic Byways. We shared the road with mountain goats and cattle on the open range. Stunning scenery was highlighted by a rare double rainbow at Challis. We arrived in Salmon tired and pleased with a day that was about to go wrong.
Note in the "Above" remarks at TripAdvisor that the inn is supposed to have refrigerators in the guest rooms. Because we travel with both heavy luggage and perishables, we contacted the hotel in advance

Dirty, forgot to clean the bathroom properly, hair and fingernail clippings on the floor. And oops, forgot to leave us a bar of soap to wash our hands. I would stay ANYWHERE but here. Talked to the hotel.clerk in the morning. Not sympathetic enough!!

Unfortunately we did not get a chance to stay with them because they were all booked up. I guess that's because they are so highly rated. Their lobby is nice the two people at the front desk were very accommodating and went way out of their way to find us another place to stay for the night.

The room was great, but more importantly, I dropped my wallet at the Buddy's next door. The Stagecoach Inn staff were instrumental in its safe return.
The back of some of the rooms face the Salmon river and have little decks in which to "listen to the river sing sweet songs" to "rock [your] soul".
Thanks again to the staff of the Stagecoach Inn!!

We were on a company Harley ride and had rooms at another motel and when we got there they had given away 4 of our rooms , we had reserved 12. I called The Stagecoach and they were very accommodating and very nice! They got us the rooms we needed and let us park our trailer in the extra lot so we could set up our bbq and feed our group. The place is older but is clean, the back grass area next to the river is very peaceful, we will be back for our next company ride!
