Roger (Butch) D. Mabe Jr's interest in trucking began at an early age. When he was in his early teens, it was Butch's dream to be involved in the trucking industry in some way. His grandfather and uncle were truck drivers, and his grandfather allowed him to take some trips with him when the opportunity presented itself.
Butch's dad, Roger D. Mabe Sr, purchased two tractors with Butch's grandfather and leased them to other trucking companies. Over the years, the customer base has grown substantially, and his fleet has grown to 200 tractors and 600 trailers. The company has grown to be one of the largest employers in Eden, North Carolina, with over 300 employees.

Mabe’s Trucking is a family owned local company based out of Eden, NC and they definitely make you feel like family. I would highly recommend driving for them wether you’re a new CDL holder or you have experience truck driving. They have a great fleet of trucks, that are well taken care of and clean. No corners are cut here. Great staff, great dispatch, and a great company to drive for.

Mabe Truckingh has a dangerous and reckless driver. On the afternoon of January 29 between Opelika, AL and West Point, GA a driver ran me off Interstate-85. He drove into my lane as I was about halfway up the length of his trailer in my lane passing him on the left. Fortunately the Interstate median was fairly level or I would probably have flipped my car as I swerved into the grass to avoid being crushed. This fool of a driver has no business being on the highway. The trailer number was 12041 and the license plate was 19-2703A.
