Arrived on a Monday evening. It wasn't busy but they only had one poor server/bartender on. She was killer. The reason I even wrote the review. She was able to handle a lot of tables, but one person with 10+ tables is rough in this style of restaurant.
Okay the food: the pickle fries were bomb! Definitely was not expecting them to be that good. 8/10.
Cheese curds were run of the mill 5/10
Chili was good, but was on the harsher side, you have to get it medium or above to have any flavor-mild is not great. 6/10

I caught this place on a bad day so, my review is limited. I tried their traditional chilli (two "l's") without beans and the cincinnati chille. On my next visit I'd choose cincinnati style, for sure. The few times I've had cincinnati chille at other restaurants it was heavy on the cinnamon, but Dew's version just has a hint of cinnamon, which I preferred! The pandemic has messed with everyone's groove, so I won't hold it against them that they were "under the weather." We all have bad days. I'm sure when they're fully staffed and stocked

I went to the one on Wabash a couple of weeks ago and there was an employee standing outside smoking by the door. He informed me that it was going to be another hour and a half before there would be any more chili. They were completely out. This was around 5:30pm before a dinner rush had even started. Then I inquired about tamales and he said they didn’t have those either. I have never had chili here and I was excited to try it but I’m not sure I will be back. It’s hard to recommend a chili place when there isn’t any chili.

Called in an order for their Wednesday special of 10 chili cheese dogs for $15. We went to Wabash location. Was told 20 minutes and waited an extra 10 at the window for someone to come. Hotdogs were lukewarm, chewy and there was no cheese on them. When we called to ask about the cheese they said it wasn’t available at that store, but the ad said it was available at all 3 locations. Very disappointed in the food and the service.

Honestly a horrible experience. The shorter version of the story goes like this...
My fiancé and I had a full hour to burn before seeing a movie at the nearby theater. The place was not busy and yet we had to constantly bother a different waiter to get us refills because our waitress was too busy cleaning the floors.
My food came out incorrectly and we had to send it back, we both had a version of their "famous" chili and as a hot food I told her to go ahead and eat without me. By the time mine came back out the correct way we were now running late and I had to eat extremely fast

I don't understand the positive reviews. The food is horrible. Very grease chili, that is flavorless. Worst chili ever put in my pie hole. Server became very annoying asking if everything was ok. Place was not busy so that should have been clue to us. Tamales not fresh they were frozen and tasted old.

Our party received terrific service as a manager and a server stopped by the table multiple times to see how we were doing.
This is the latest location for the 110+ year old Springfield diner and is located along the Dirksen hotel row off I-55.
A wrap with fries and a Pony (a smaller version of Springfield's unique Horseshoe) were both more than satisfactory. The wrap was large enough to make up a to-go box.
Highly recommended.

To be honest, I have gotten the same thing every single time I've been here - the chilli salad, and it is delicious. It's a regular iceberg lettuce salad only it has chilli meat, beans, taco sauce and sour cream on it. I also get ranch dressing for the top. It ends up tasting like the best taco salad you've ever had. Also, the salad is HUGE! I can only eat half and end up taking the rest home for another meal - and that half can easily fill up an entire large to-go container! The amount of food you get for the price is insane! The staff is always very nice and the decor is great

This was our first time trying Dew Chilli on Dirksen. Very large restaurant with a bar, game room and I absolutely love the old pictures from years ago. I was NOT impressed that during lunchtime you have to place your order and pay before you are ever seated. It's awkward and uncomfortable and I felt rushed which means, I would've probably ordered something besides a burger, which is what I ended up with. That situation is what me give this place only a mediocre review. My burger was one of the best burgers I've ever had and I love their fries. I had. Side order of cheese which
