Los Milagros Hotel
Columbus, New Mexico is rich in history, going back 1000 years to the time that the different Indian civilizations traveled from one community to another and passed through this area, to more recently when Pancho Villa raided Columbus in 1916. Today we are the border's best kept secret. We offer easy access to and from Mexico and some very significant tourist destinations south of the border.

We invite you to stay with us and let us help you to discover some of the great places to visit just a few hours south. We offer free travel advice and help across the border or professionally guided tours for those that want an insider's view to the area. Whether you are here on business or pleasure you will find Los Milagros Hotel to be a great resource for local information and planning.
Services
Standing directly in the middle of The Village of Columbus Historic District is Los Milagros Hotel. For those who need a place to stay while getting medical, dental, and optometry services performed just across the border in Palomas, Mexico, Los Milagros Hotel is the perfect place to stay.

We're glad to serve and support the special needs of the hiking and biking community including catering to your secure equipment storage, laundry facilities, transportation needs, business services, and UPS / FEDEX / U.S. postal delivery and shipping for those that might need to send supplies and equipment to and from Columbus.
Los Milagros Hotel was built in 1991 by my sister and was named "Martha's Place" for 25 years. In 2015 my wife and I purchased the Hotel with the idea to create a "Boutique Hotel" that strives to create a great local experience. The hotel has 5 upstairs rooms, each with its own covered patio and well-appointed bath.
Los Milagros Hotel offers "small group tours" of 8 or 9 people to some fantastic sites in Northern Chihuahua. We have a modern 12 passenger van for your touring comfort. We go on a regular basis to the Paquime Ruins in Casas Grandes.

Paquime, Casas Grandes, which reached its apogee in the 14th and 15th centuries, played a key role in trade and cultural contacts between the Pueblo culture of the south-western United States and northern Mexico and the more advanced civilizations of Mesoamerica.
Los Milagros Hotel of Columbus, New Mexico has been looking for a great Dentist in Palomas to partner with. This was not an easy search. Even though there are many very good Dentists in Palomas finding the right one that shared all of our values regarding customer service and attention was not easy.

My second time there and I highly recommend! Clean rooms, cozy atmosphere. Love the glass doors that go out onto the balcony! The people are wonderful and will try to help you with anything you need. Cold drinks and hot fresh coffee in the mornings! Bed was soooo comfortable! AAA+++

Staying at Los Milagros Hotel was an incredibly pleasant experience! The room and bed was very comfortable and the proprietor saw to all my needs. After a day of riding in the mountains, relaxing in the courtyard and my room balcony was just what I needed after a long trip. Highly recommended and I will be returning!

Finished the Great Divide Mountain Bike Route here and was an awesome place to finish and stay overnight. Philip was extremely accommodating and can't say enough good things about the hotel. Clean, comfy beds, and drinks/snacks/breakfast were appreciated. He also offers shuttle service if needed. Philip was going into Puerto Palomas in the evening and invited us to go along and have dinner and ice cream. Philip and his hotel really made the end of our trip even more memorable! We highly recommend staying here if in the area.

This place is amazing! And it has a soul - it’s so cozy, it feels like I’m staying with family, rather than staying in a hotel. The owner is extremely kind and helpful.
The rooms themselves are furnished/designed beautifully, there’s a great backyard /if you have a pooch like us, you’d def appreciate it/.
I never want to leave. If I could just live here for a few weeks, it would be a full happy life :)

Wonderful place to stay and great host! Philip treats you like family. We have been back a couple of times and feel so comfortable and at home. Beds are comfortable, place is very clean, quiet and hospitality is amazing. Philip is offering a recommendation and connection to a dentist in Palomas, right across the border. Much less expensive and good quality dentistry in Mexico. He also offers trips to Mata Ortiz to check out the pottery. Check his website for details. Way more than a B&B in a quiet little town!

Stayed at Los Milagros Hotel for two nights. Our family had a wonderful time. There are only 6 rooms and we took up two of them Mr Philip Skinner and his wife Diana are great hosts. Anything you need they are Jonny on the spot to get it for you. It was my birthday on one of the days and Diana made me a birthday cake, how sweet was that. This hotel is clean and the linens are great and so are the beds. There is a nice back yard with grass that kids can play on and a few tables and chairs to eat on or just visit with other guests. They have a dining room that is set up for a lite breakfast and great

My brother in law stayed here on his way to Mexico. We dropped him off and went inside to see if the inside was as cute as the outside. Authentic adobe style building with balcony. Beautifully decorated inside from the cozy lobby to the ample room with balcony looking towards the Mexican border. Owner was helpful and friendly making us feel at home as soon as we entered. Very reasonably priced with easy access to the border.
