I could literally eat this food every day of my life!! I know wedding food isn’t typically what people get excited about, but Canapes is a completely different story. I am still getting compliments about every single item that was served at our wedding - and I do not disagree!

Canapes made our cake and cupcakes for our recent wedding. Everything was delicious and spot on! We had numerous tastings and the hardest part was picking the flavors (they are all so good!) We decided on a lemon cake, with orange dreamsicle and double chocolate cupcakes. They turned out perfectly and we got many compliments about how tasty they were! Planning for a rehearsal dinner for my son with the threat of a hurricane on the horizon the first week of September. Yikes….our reserved venue cancelled on us 5 days prior to the event and canapés went above and beyond. They reached out to their contacts and were able to help me secure an alternate location in a matter of days. McClintock distilling could not have been a more perfect fit. I was looking forward to working with Canape's. Sadly, I won't get the chance. Maybe it is for the best because of the lack of professionism Canape's showed today. My daughter first emailed Canapes; I followed up with a telephone call, the event planner wasn't in on Monday and I followed up with an email that day with my menu options, theme for my party. Jessica returned my call today around 4 PM and we discussed menu items, dishes, dessert options as well as a cake. Was really looking forward to working with this catering group, however we have had to proceed looking elsewhere. The menus were overwhelming, however it was actually the service that ultimately motivated us to reach out to other catering companies. We came here for the 550 grab and go... and it did not disappoint!!! I got "Thr Frederick Sloppy" and it was such a huge sandwich that it took me two days to eat it! It was so delicious. We also tried a half dozen assorted cupcakes, which have been the most delicious cupcakes I think I've ever eaten. The staff are super nice, helpful, and attentive. I am such a huge fan of this place now! My only complaint is that I didn't get more food to try (they have macaroons, breakfast items, special breads, cakes, cookies)! Wow what a treasure tucked away off the beaten path. We had finished some business in downtown before lunch and I wanted a late breakfast early lunch and my wife recomemded this place. Ok it's a Bakery, but the options, and the cases were full of FOOD not just sweets. Oh they had sweets as well, but they had food as well. I had an everything bagel with Lox and all the bits...FANTASTIC.

I stopped by at Canapés' Grab and Go and grabbed some great food. They are a full service caterer and have launched a pickup or delivery service for many of their most popular dishes. They offer a full menu including many home made pastries and cupcakes.
We had the shrimp tacos-not the small ones but big ones wrapped in a grilled taco shell. The roast beef was very tender and perfectly seasoned. I got the quiche for my wife's breakfast as that is her favorite food. I bet I will be just as good.

During my years 14 years in Frederick MD, I recall attending a wedding and 3 retirement ceremonies that the services of Canape's was contracted. At every event (regardless of budget) I found myself wondering who catered the event and to my amazement Canapes Catering was the service provider.
Fast Forward to current time period, as the children have now been home for 2 weeks we have stopped in numerous times and it has been a delightful experience. I had a meeting in which I had to order refreshments including vegan and gluten free options for 35 people. I ordered a seasonal fruit display, skewered Antipasto, Brie Tarletts, Friandese, Assorted Tea Sandwiches, Vegan "Taco" Wrap, Vegan Valley Vegetarian, and bottled drinks.

Went to canapes looking for catering services for my wedding a few months ago. I must say that I am extremely disappointed on how irresponsible they are, well Katie. I went in for a tasting with Katie and tried a few things on their menue. The hors d'oeuvres were great, but the main entree were horrible. The chicken seemed uncooked and the steak tasted like rubber. I was given a qoute for everything and I figured since we enjoyed the hors d'oeuvres we would just want a quote for that only. The wedding we attended had appetizers served / walked around. The crab cakes my wife thought were great, I of course didn't participate. There was also smoked salmon and beef tartare.

But Canapes worked with my wife's wishes to to move everything inside at the last minute. The space shouldn't have been big enough for all of our guests, but they somehow made it work. Canapes ruined Christmas dinner for me and my family. I ordered a spiral ham, corn pudding and Mac n cheese. I specifically asked for the ham to be glazed but it was bare with absolutely no dressing. The mac n cheese had NOT a bit of cheese in it (imagine that)! I sincerely don't know how these people stay in business serving this kind of food! Take my advice and stay clear from this place.
