Anyone can ride with TACK. We provide trips for medical appointments, grocery shopping, going to work, and anything in between. TACK does not provide "same day" trips. Any person wishing to ride must call before noon the day prior to their trip to make a reservation and pre-pay for the trip. TACK is fully handicap accessible for wheelchairs and ADA transport.

TACK drivers are trained and certified in wheelchair transport and securement as well as being CPR certified. Public transportation is a shared ride system and multiple riders may share the same vehicle. Riders should expect other pick-up and drop-off stops while onboard. Vehicles may take indirect routes to and from locations to accommodate other riders.
Services
Operators must be able to push and pull wheelchairs and assist our clients in and out of their homes, in and out of our vehicles, and in and out of doctors' offices. An operator should be able to stand, sit, walk, bend, and squat throughout the day in a variety of weather conditions without undue hardship.
Non-emergency Medical Transportation is for Medicaid members who do not have access to free transportation that suits their medical needs and need to be transported to a Medicaid covered service. For transportation outside of a member's medical service area or for specialty care, a referral from a member's primary care physician is required.
The Lincoln Trail Area Development District (LTADD) provides Title III B federal funding to assist senior citizen transportation in Hardin and Meade Counties. TACK is contracted to provide those services supporting senior citizens throughout our service area. Program funding is a finite resource; there is not enough money available to meet every desire of our area seniors or every intent of our non-profit service provider partners.

I have to say that Iris Smith is one of the nicest people I know.
Every time I call, she is always pleasant and helpful. Transit Authority-Central Ky is very lucky to have her. She is always cheerful and brings up my spirits. A very caring and fantastic person.

Poor driving skills abound. More often than should happen, I am passed by a TRACK vehicle exceeded 10+ mph over the limit on my way to work from Meade Co to Jefferson Co. 11/30/21 I, and 2 others were passed (3cars total) on highway 60 greater than 15 mph in a 55. Then, within a mile, the van, after tailgating a vehicle, passed two more on a solid no passing zone. I called the numbers provided on their website to allow them to make corrective actions, and no inboxes were set up or able to take voicemails. Moving to the area to care for the elderly in my family, I would never use them in that area

My father n law waited for over 2 hours for pick up that he had scheduled a month a head of time for a very important doctor appointment. Come to find out they went to the wrong address, and when we made the appointment they said my address back to me, so it was verified! But they would NOT come back when we called!! this is not the first time this has happened! To us, and many other people!! This place is Horrible!! Be careful everyone please, they are not reliable

Dispatch is so rude to the drivers. They always seem to screw up arrival times and usually wait over an hour to be picked up. They need better management of their times and schedules. Maybe this is why everyone that picks us up complains about not having enough drivers...

They'll get you where you need to go, but there's little communication between dispatch and the driver's itinerary. If you cancel a trip, plan on them coming to your door along if you're going to need a ride because they won't get the memo. To appointments with Medicaid is free. Going to and from work cost me $5 round trip for a workday.

Tack has been wonderful in transporting my elderly frail mother. They are on time and she doesn’t wait long. All workers have been respectful. However my concern is that many (most) of the drivers are not wearing masks and as she is wheelchair transport they are within just a couple of inches from her while securing her chair. I wish they would be more mindful of spreading covid 19 and other illnesses while providing services.

I have been repeatedly left waiting in Louisville for up to 3 hours after getting off work with no one contacting me or lying about arrival times over and over. People including me are repeatedly made late for work when we pay for a service. I pay $120/week for regular transportation to and from work that is regularly unreliable.
The phone lines are always messed up. They never have enough drivers and you never know when the ride is coming.
A few of the drivers are awesome but most of the staff have no people skills.

I missed work yesterday morning because they had me going to some unknown address and then to Radcliff at 12:45pm ( I live in Etown by the way). I am scheduled everyday to be picked up at 830am which they do everyday to go to work. I had to call in because it was 8:35am when I called to see where they were. I was told they had to find a driver to pick me up THEN MAYBE I might get to work by 9. Of course that never happened. They also had someone pick me up at 8am on my day off when I had called them the day before and cancelled my next day trip. They also wanted to charge me $10 for an in town

My Father-in-Law (89/yrs old) fell and broke his leg, and has to keep it straight (he is in a wheel chair) - The folks at TACK have been GREAT; there is no way I could get him in our truck and keep his leg straight... TACK has been a "Godsend" for us to get him to the orthopedic Dr's office and back home. We are grateful for all they have done.

I have been using L.K.L.P/T.A.C.K for 10 months now. At first they was doing great. Then after the first month they started slipping a little. As time went by they got worse. I have appointments that I have to go to, their is no if or and about it. If I missed, I went to jail. T.A.C.K has proven to people that they are not very dependable.
I have had many many appointments where I was suppose to be their at a certain time and I would get their 45 minutes late and would have to wait for a hour four them to come pick me up. T.A.C.K has made me miss many Dr. Appointments becouse they was late or
