In 1998, Dr. Swanson built Kansas City's first licensed, ambulatory surgery center specializing in cosmetic surgery- the Surgery Center of Leawood. Safety is the number one priority at the Swanson Center. Dr. Swanson has lectured frequently at national meetings on safety issues, including "SAFE" (Spontaneous breathing, Avoid gas, Face up, Extremities mobile) anesthesia.
The Ideal Look series provides information about cosmetic surgery so that patients know what to expect. Patients do not like surprises. Patients need to know what to expect during the recovery period. They need to know how long it will be before they are back to normal. How long do they need to be off work?
If there were an overriding theme of Dr. Swanson's practice it would be to question the prevailing wisdom, and subject our methods and habits to scientific scrutiny. His contributions to plastic surgery may be considered in three main categories: body, breast, and face.

Had a first procedure done with dr Swanson and it went so smoothly he was great. I went back and had BA and so far so good and was such a smooth transition. He’s a very caring and nice doctor and will answer any questions but honestly I didn’t have many because he was very thorough in the beginning. His staff is amazing and 100% happy so far with everything. If you want a great dr and someone who listens to what you want and concerns you have then dr Swanson is the one. Will recommend friends to him if they’re ever looking for a great PS.

I recently had labiaplasty performed by Dr Swanson and I absolutely love my results and I’m only a week post op! DR Swanson and his staff were extremely professional and accommodating they told me how everything was going to play out from the first initial visit to the day of the surgery and made sure I was at ease, also would like to add their socks and gown the day of Surgery were kept warmed which I thought was a awesome touch! I most definitely recommend his services.

So I’m a little late on this review as I am 6wks post op from a tummy tuck and liposuction! If I could give this place more stars I would in a heartbeat! I did my research for two years prior to finally picking a surgeon. I have to say going with Dr. Swanson and his staff was the best and smartest choice I could have made! They are all very welcoming and are always concerned about their patients well being. The service is top notch at this clinic, with top notch bed side manner that got my win.. All I can say is Dr. Swanson and his team are AMAZING! I went in for a consultation in May for a breast augmentation and Dr. Swanson answered all of my questions and walked me through the process of what to expect during and after the procedure putting all my worries to rest! He helped me pick a size that would be right for my body and I scheduled a surgery for the next week... BEST DECISION I HAVE EVER MADE. He did such a beautiful job and I could not be happier! I would absolutely recommend him to anyone! His staff is amazing and so kind as well which was just icing on the cake for me. Absolutely

Dr. Eric Swanson is a true artist and a god-send. I had my first breast augmentation in December by Dr. Hodge at Monarch Plastic Surgery. I will be writing a bad review on his page. I won't go in depth of the horrible job he did to my breasts. I went to a few other surgeons to get a second opinion and Dr. Swanson was one of the surgeons I visited. I had an amazing experience with Dr Swanson and his entire staff. I got a breast augmentation and I’m obsessed. Dr Swanson was very helpful in picking the right size for me. Dr. Swanson, his team, and his facility are top notch. From the first consultation, through the surgery, and during follow up appointments, all aspects are handled very professionally. Dr. Swanson did my breast augmentation, lower body liposuction, and fat transfer to my lips. I am extremely pleased with all of the results so far and I am only a month out!
