Peninsula Memorial Chapels & Crematory
New Municipality and CDC guidelines have moved mask wear to an optional standard. All directors at Anchorage Funeral Home and Crematory have been fully vaccinated and therefor may not be wearing a mask. If during your arrangement conference you are uncomfortable with that, please share your concerns and we will happily wear a mask during our time together.

We will no longer required to keep a log book, but other cleanliness practices that we've all grown accustomed to over the last year will be kept, such as increased disinfecting processes and dirty/clean pen receptacles. We do not require facecoverings to conduct business or attend services at our chapel.
Services
Planning a funeral can be overwhelming, but you are not alone in this. We're here to support you throughout this journey and make this process one of love, healing, and life celebration. Below is some information to help you get started, but you can contact us at any time if you need help.

When a loved one dies at home or in a place that isn't a healthcare facility, you'll need to contact emergency personnel before they can be taken into our care.If your loved one was under medical care, it's a good idea to call their physician as well. If your loved one dies in a healthcare facility, they will notify the proper authorities, including the funeral home you have chosen to care for your loved one if they know that information.
Planning a funeral service can be a very difficult process for families who have just lost a loved one. But it's important to provide those who are grieving with a supportive environment in which they can begin to find closure, say goodbye, and come to terms with the loss.

Gathering with friends and family gives everyone the opportunity to connect, share memories, offer words of sympathy, and create a lasting network of comfort and support as they start the journey toward healing.Immediate burial means that your loved one will be buried or entombed without a public service or gathering.
Personalization isn't just about honoring your loved one's individuality. It also allows family and friends to feel connected to the services and the life being honored. We work closely with you and your family to get to know your loved one's life story so we can make their services as personal as possible.
We're proud to do our part in honoring our country's veterans. Our duty is to provide you and your family with professional and dignified assistance during your time of need, and we promise to support you in honoring your loved one for their dedication and selfless service. Former military members who served on active duty and departed under honorable conditions.
There's a lot that goes into planning a funeral, but making those arrangements beforehand gives you time to consider all of your options and make sure that you're covering all of the necessary details. Still feeling unsure? Here are some of the most important reasons why planning ahead may be the best option.

They made mistake on my mom's death certificate. They corrected it (after telling my to cross the mistakes out and write in the corrections. I refused to). However I was charged for them.

How about you dial the music volume down on the weekends? Dance club or memorial chapel?

Understandably any funeral business will get complaints because people are going through an emotional time. Truth is these people at the chapel go out of their way to help families in every way they can. Many things not included on the bill. They are simply there for you when it’s overwhelming. Respectful when others are not to them. Continue to follow through and provide the services you and yours need when your loved one has passed. No matter what time of day or night. I think what people mean to say is.....THANK YOU.

I'm not even sure i remember when i felt more helpless than when my father died, no will, no money, i had no money, i could barely answer questions about who my father was because i didnt know him well. Well thank God for the man that helped me with everything from filling out paperwprk, getting the state to pay the full cost of cremation, he made me feel comfortable & i ended up having to leave Kenai before i was able to pick up my dads ashes do to a family emergency. They went above and beyond to contact me when my dads ashes were ready even tho my cell had broke so i couldnt get a phone call

Handled my father's passing with professionalism and a wry sense of humor that fit our family perfectly. Good people who take care of business.

When my father recently passed away I had no choice but to let penisula memorial chapels handel and take care of his remains. ONE small guy showed up to try to remove my fathers body. I had to help him carry my fathers to his car. Then the charged me thousands of dollars , my father wanted a cremation whithout a service. Well I wish I had a secound choice , peninsula memorial chapels has a monopoly in this area and its just not fair. I would have given them "0" stars if it were a choice
