In our friendly clinic, we become familiar with each individual patient in order to customize eye exams and treatment options. We welcome patients of all ages to our comfortable optometry offices. February is Age-Related Macular Degeneration Awareness Month. In the effort to help educate patients about the symptoms, risk factors, and treatment options for this disease among older Americans.
Services
We provide a one-time comprehensive eye assessment to infants in their first year of life. Helps with the detection and treatment of serious eye conditions such as retinal swelling from diabetic retinopathy, glaucoma, and age-related macular degeneration (AMD). This state of the art imaging system uses laser energy used to measure the three dimensional structure of the retina and optic nerve.
Dr. Furman has been recognized on regional and national levels for his superior patient care. He has lectured throughout the United States providing education to other optometrists. He currently serves on the board of the Iowa Optometric Association. Dr. Furman and his wife, Melinda, have two grown children.
Our staff is hired because they are friendly, outgoing, and genuinely care about others. We then provide them with extensive training in eye disease, ocular testing, eyeglasses frame selection, lens technology, and contact lenses. From the time you call our office, to the time you pick up your new designer eyewear, we know you will feel comfortable and cared for as more than just a set of eyeballs.
Our full service Optometric office is designed to meet both your eye health needs as well as your eyewear requirements. Highly trained staff are ready to assist you with the selection appropriate for your specific needs. We take the time to discuss how different lens selections and frame styles will impact your vision.
Most major medical insurance policies will cover most of your eye exam if a medical condition is present (dry eyes, cataracts, glaucoma, allergies, and many more). Normal co-pays and deductables for your policy will apply. These policies include those from Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Aetna, United, Midlands Choice, and many others.
