Love my conditioned, fresh hair, and style. Went to Chris one of their new hair stylist. Did a beautiful job on my hair. Recommended a deep condition and also sone products I needed for my hair. Met the owner… who was very sweet and fabulous. I saw her doing a customer's makeup and she looked stunning. Job well done! Loving the chic look of the location as well.

If you're looking for a hair salon look no further! I found this place yesterday and I have to say I was impressed. I had a formal ball to go to last night and the salon I was scheduled with for over a month called me the morning of my ball and canceled me. I was super stressed because finding a salon with availability the same day is impossible. Well this place can do the impossible. After making a few calls I tried here, they found a way to make me fit into there schedule and still make it to my ball on time. I saw Gisell for my makeup which looked amazing! And I saw Mario for my hair

Amelia came highly recommended for her color skills! So I booked an appointment 2 weeks in advance (her schedule was wide open)for a color touch up with Amelia for a HUGE HUGE work event . Amelia then tried to cancel on me not once but TWICE! The first time she sent me a text stating "I'm sorry I don't like to work past 7:00pm, so I can't do your color at that time. Can you reschedule for an earlier time?".
Now remember her books were open and had the latest availability for the color service at 5:15pm with Amelia. Her Books still show the latest is 5:15 any-day for color

I was able to make an appointment directly through yelp for makeup services with Amelia, Johanna was very accommodating with getting me an appointment first thing in the morning.. the salon itself is nestled towards the back of the lot off Broadway and is super cute and cozy inside, just the right amount of chic and shabby. All of the staff was friendly and Amelia took me right on time and was done in less than an hour. I had a concert/meet and greet to go to in Austin so I needed my makeup to be on point for pictures and I'm so glad I found this gem, the pictures turned out perfect!

I've been coming to the salon for a few months now since meeting Johanna and learning about her business. She is a well-organized, professional owner with a great talent for makeup artistry. The salon is very clean, centrally-located and is stylishly accented in colors of golds and grays with seating indoors as well as on the adjacent patio.
Gisell has been cutting my hair recently. She is attentive, asks questions about what you like and don't, makes appropriate suggestions and has even taken me in on quick notice to make a change or two with a cut and color. I highly recommend Makeup

Had a super fun mommy/daughter makeover day! Mario (aka The Hair Genie) did an amazing job on my hair! I'm feeling super fly. And I had airbrushing for the first time and Joanna worked magic. I wish I could pack them in my pocket and have them transform this caterpillar into a butterfly every day! I would definitely recommend coming here for some pampering!

If you want to look your best for photos, a party, or any special occasion, this is your one stop place. Giselle does an amazing blowout, I'd say best in the city, and Johanna will make you look like a super model with her makeup expertise.
My daughter went to them before photos, they did a perfect, age appropriate job. 5 stArs for this place!

The whole Makeup Maven crew did our team's hair and makeup for the Inc 5000 Gala and we couldn't be happier. Not only do we look phenomenal but everyone at Maven went out of their way to be accommodating. From getting us coffee and champagne to fitting us in for unscheduled spray tans, we want to visit every time we come to San Antonio!!

This is your go to salon for tanning, makeup and hair! I work in the special events industry, I recommend them highly for any bride to be or anyone wanting to feel gorgeous for a special night out! I can't say enough wonderful things about the entire salon! Johanna is a straight magician, she made me look like a million dollars - and quickly with a very last minute appointment. Not only is she quite stunning herself, she is super professional and strives to ensure you're completely happy with the end result. I would never look to go elsewhere with this kind of talent in San Antonio. Lori is also one of the most fabulous hair stylists I've ever met. She's a wonder with color, a pleasure to talk to, and just overall the best experience of anywhere around!

My sister & I had our makeup done for a Halloween-themed wedding. Wonderful experience: fast, friendly, knowledgeable, and the makeup looked flawless for more than 10 hours (even the lipstick stayed)! I don't wear much makeup on a daily basis, but it never felt heavy or sticky - I honestly forgot I was even wearing makeup! She uses great products and I will definitely be back!

Johanna is,really friendly and knowledgeable about teeth whitening. She was very courteous and patient with all my questions. The results and service were great. Johanna came to my home and gave me a spray tan for a military ball. It was my first spray tan experience and she made me feel extremely comfortable! She walked me through all the before steps to prime myself for the tan and then walked me through the tanning process and aftercare. I woke up the next day with an extremely even, natural tan and I couldn't be happier! Couldn't recommend her more!

My wife was looking for a place to have her makeup done prior to a gala/birthday party. She was also interested in having her hair styled (I believe the term is blow-out) and a manicure/pedicure as well. Initially in planning these events, she was thinking she would have to go to three different places and do a good bit of travelling. I read Johanna's outstanding reviews and decided to give her a call -- at this point it was fairly short notice, and I didn't expect much.
