Unlike other programs, we do not believe in replacing one drug with another. At The Recovery Ranch, we believe in change. By addressing the underlying causes of addiction, we provide each addict who walks through our doors with an opportunity to live a clean and sober life as a new man. Long term sobriety comes from a new way of living.
Services
We have a sober living house exclusively for graduates of The Recovery Ranch Structured Sober Living located in downtown Santa Barbara, California. Many of these young men attend University of Santa Barbara, California or Santa Barbara City College. As we base graduation on progress and performance, there is no set time limit to our program.
We are much more than a sober living or addiction treatment center. Our alcohol & drug treatment program is based on brutal honesty, compassion, and accountability. We point out each other's character defects so we can take a look at them and be held accountable to changing them. Our relationships are based upon helping each other change the behaviors that lead us back to abusing drugs and alcohol.
The Recovery Ranch provides residents with structure, accountability, and a support system that helps each them grow in their lives and their recovery on a daily basis. Replacing bad habits with good habits is essential to long term success for any addict or alcoholic, so we are firm in setting daily routines.
It's important not only in recovery but also in life to find a balance between hard work and fun. We go on trips, participate in lots of activities, and even put on our own events. We go on a few camping trips with the Ranch every year. Recently, we've camped at Lake Isabella, Yosemite, Lake Cachuma, and San Simeon and have had amazing camping experiences at them all.
The Recovery Ranch in Santa Ynez on Tivola St. is our main property and consists of 4 houses, a barn, swimming pool, coffee shop, on property store, arcade, and a movie theater we built ourselves. At the Ranch we live by a very high standard to make sure the house is kept clean and looking nice.

This includes a fine dining table set up in the dining room, bathrooms kept clean and neat, every resident's bed, as well as belongings, are kept at a high standard.Every morning after breakfast, we do house chores to make sure everything is clean and up to our standard. We are constantly working on projects around the house for guys to take ownership in, and appreciate.

I graduated from the Ranch earlier this year, and I am so glad I stuck with it. Rehabs have never worked for me before coming to the ranch, but now two (Sober!!) years later I am healthy, happy, and functional. This place is my home, and its taught me so much more than just staying sober. I have peace of mind finally, and my family is back in my life. Incredibly grateful to all the guys who helped me out when I came in, and along the way as well.

I am a graduate of Recovery Ranch and thanks to the ranch I have my life back. I came in homeless, from jail, and no one wanted anything to do with me. I now have a great relationship with my family and a bunch of solid people around me. I have a job I love going too and a great work ethic. I am so thankful for the 21 months I have sober and the life I have today.

Spent 3 months at Recovery Ranch. Saw my first suicide attempt when a guy named Dylan tried to drink bleach after being bullied by Daniel Ross. Please do not send your loved ones here if you care about them. It is a completely different image they put on for the people that don't live here. The owners don't know one thing about recovery and will only introduce you to the very few that have recovered from this program, never showing you all the others it has failed. And Daniel if you read this I hope you think about Dylan everyday and I hope it makes you feel like the complete piece of sh*t you

My son attended Recovery Ranch for about a month. We paid $8,000 for this experience. This turned out to be a work camp. Recovery Ranch is one of several hundred working rehabs across the country. They work you for free while keeping all the profits. They call it treatment yet they have no certified or licensed mental health therapists or professional staff members. They think hard work is a treatment for addiction, yet there is not one mental health professional that recognizes hard work as a treatment!
He ended up escaping when the work truck made a trip to Santa Barbara He got out at the gas

Recovery Ranch has completely changed my life for the better. Before coming to the ranch I was homeless and drunk, sleeping in my car on the streets of Los Angeles. I've been at the ranch for 19 months and counting. It's a tough program, but exactly what was needed for a disrespectful, arrogant, stubborn guy like me. I felt like leaving several times, but something always made me stay, like I knew that I was right where I needed to be to change my life. I graduated earlier this past year, and since being at the ranch I have a steady job, a place to live, food to eat, and all the things that I used

The Recovery Ranch saved my life. 14 months ago, I lost everything I had due to the crippling drug addiction I was faced with. I had been going to rehab after rehab trying to get it right but these typical places were just not working. The ranch is an amazing place where we take action in our recovery and are forced to change everything about ourselves. I needed a new start to my life and I did that here. Every guy at the ranch cares about one another and helps each other to work through the struggles we are faced with, this is something you do not get in other programs. I now have a support system

Today I graduated from the ranch. It’s a huge accomplishment and was the hardest thing I’ve ever done. It brought my family together for the first time in over 6 years. I am super grateful that I have the ranch in my life. This is my home now and I am super excited to see what the next step is here after graduation.
