I had already been very impressed with them at my friend's wedding last year, so I didn't even consider any other caterer. Their food is absolutely fantastic and their customer service is beyond professional, they make you feel like family! Carolyn is a wonderful, warm and generous person who just makes everything so wonderful and stress free.

Even with the staffing shortage around us, Fagundes still aims to please. Yes, beef has gone up in price lately, but wow! These cuts are beautiful. Staff is always friendly and I'm usually checked on to see I've been helped several times when I come here. There aren't too many places left with customer service like this. But it's good to know SOMEONE still prides themselves on this timeless business model.

We just did a large order for 65 guest and we received one of the best deals in town. Sandra was amazing to work with. We even added 3 meats instead of 2, and an extra side. My mom said the "chili beans' may be the best she has ever tried. We thought we weren't going to have enough food but we had more than enough. Some of our guest were leaving with trays of food and still had plenty of food into the next day. Highly recommend.

I was at an auction this Saturday purchased a Linguica sausage which was delicious.
The people that waited on me were very polite. One of the gentlemen gave me a Shish kebab
it was so delicious I didn't stop eating to I got down to the last portion of it to figure out what kind of meat that was.

Today was my first time stoping by.
They are participating with covid guidelines which I appreciate. I called in my order the lady that answered was very nice and told me how to get my order once I arrived. The guy that helped me inside was really nice and the other guy outside with the grill was also very friendly and he even showed me where to get menus so I appreciate it . Sorry I couldn't get the names.

So, awhile back my wife and i had lots of free time on our hands, and decided to venture out of our area and find a nice place to have dinner. We decided on a bbq/soulfood place in manteca(about 30-45 mins away). So as were approaching manteca we decide to call in our order thinking that'd be fastest cuz by then we were starving. So imagine our disappointment when my wife calls and the owner answered and informed us that they had basically sold out and had just closed. She was very apologetic and sounded like areal nice lady. Just Purchased 1lb of hot Italian sausage and BBQ Ribs, total cost was 39.59 , I asked the guy when he gave me the ribs if this a whole rack he said yes, I weighed when I go home it weighed 1.72 lbs in the container, which was one of those Styrofoam containers you get for doggie bag or a $10 take out meal. Not only that but the ribs where cut up, no meat juice anywhere, they were very dry. The hot Italian sausage was not hot and had very little flavor except WAY TOO MUCH PINK SALT, last time I was here was about 2 to 3 years ago is was good, they have gone down hill since.

If you are look for a great cut of meat this is tje place to go. Prices seem higher but this a true butcher that will take cafe of you. Doring to covid lock down fhey provided a preorder bundle package that was well priced and amazing to have. My mom who is a senior loved this option and continued to order.

Came here after my adult son recommended the place to me. He said to try the Tri tip sandwich. They are practicing strict covid guidelines and I appreciate that. They have Germx sanitizer in several places for customers to utilize. I'm happy to see they using the good stuff and a brand I trust not some off the wall sanitizer to save them money. They only allow four people in the store at a time and ask you to kindly wait outside if you somehow manage to miss the signage on the door. (I heard them ask someone if they could kindly wait outside for a few minutes until they see someone leave

I came in here a few days before Thanksgiving and while it may look like they weren't super stocked, I was able to buy everything I needed i.e. tri-tip, ribeye's, and baby back ribs. The service is friendly and the meat are really nice cuts. I got a few Dakota links from Lockerford that they now sale. They also sell marinated meats, sauces/marinades, tri-tip sandwiches. Highly recommend!!!
We usually pick up their Spicy Portuguese sausages which are great on the grill......

Conveniently located off of the corner of Louise and Main Street and reminds me of the butcher shops we'd go to as a kid where you can buy meat in bundle sales.
We go here for meat and for Lockford Sausages to avoid the long line and wait at Lockford. Their Fagundes seasoning is great on everything and they BBQ up front.
We usually pick up their Spicy Portuguese linguisa which is great on the grill or in dishes.
Been meaning to try their tri tip sandwich which looks great.

Went in to grab a New York Steak for myself and a Stuffed chicken breast for my wife. The young lady who help me replied in a most rude manner when I asked if they had any stuffed chicken breast. We don't have or do we ever carry stuffed chicken breast! Got home and told my wife what she said. My wife's response. Funny, I've bought some there before. This young lady must be new. But it's no excuse for being so rude!

We showed up today to buy some seasoning and have lunch. We went to order our food and were informed that they had NO linguica sandwiches. This is a Portuguese meat market, and there was plenty of linguica there (we bought some from the refrigerator to take home) so why no linguica sandwich? I got Italian sausage instead which was fine, totally not what I wanted or expected. The tri-tip sandwich my wife orders was fine also, but they gave her the wrong side. The Portuguese beans tasted

Driving from Fort Bragg, CA via SFVA, we decided to take the extra time and drive to Manteca to purchase a sandwich and check selection of tasty treats.
A large grill was smoking in the parking lot as we drove up, full of 1/2 chickens and a variety of meats, as our mouths started watering we knew we had made the right decision.
I am thankful we maintained our sanity and bought a Tri-Tip sandwich to split. Piled high with thinly sliced beef, mayo, lettuce and red onion. The beef was was moist and seasoned exceptionally well, the veggies were crisp and fresh, the sandwich itself was basically mind

Too expensive, went to Dave's meat service and got the same beef ribs much cheaper. I got two racks or short plate ribs 8lbs for $92. Which included a forth waste bone on both racks. Paid $57 at Dave's meat service for 8lbs without the forth bone
I think they were irritated with me when I asked if they could vac seal the ribs for my Sous vide. Both seals didn't hold and it's because they sealed over the spice... I'm sure this was on purpose because anyone that has used a vac seal knows to roll the bag where it gets sealed.
Oh well, won't be back...

Finally! A true meat shop that does it all! They have meat packages by the pound and are pretty tough to beat price wise. Now for their sandwiches....packed to the hilt with quality meats. Wow. We got the tri tip and the pulled pork sandwiches with the red ranch potato salad and tri-tip chili bean. Man! Talk about a quality and quantity sandwich in Manteca. The flavors were definitely on point, the tri tip was tender with a nice lightly smoked flavor. The pulled pork was super tender and extra tasty. It's a hidden gem, definitely off the beaten path. Stopped in again today and picked up lots of food for the freezer at home. A holiday weekend is upon us and it's time to fire up the grill. Picked up some porterhouse steaks some stuffed mushrooms with ground beef , a corned beef round and a boysenberry pie.
My wife had never been here before so had to show her what they had. The smell 9f barbeque smoke wafting theogh the neighborhood is enough to spark anybody's appetite! It's well worth the stop if you're driving through Manteca on Highway 120 and 99.
