Convenient and clean!!! Nice decor. Very quiet, we slept very well. The price was slightly higher than average, but that’s likely since it’s literally the only hotel in the area.

Clean rooms, friendly staff and very accommodating meeting needs when the other places wouldn't even consider your request to park a 25 ft scaffolding trailer on the property for over a week.
Thanks again!

Super friendly staff, decent breakfast and a tad overpriced rooms. But in the middle of nowhere, what do you expect? Would have given 5 stars if there was a hot breakfast or a pool/hottub

Super clean room. Staff was very friendly and helpful with local places to eat. I travel a lot and this is bar far one of the nicest small town hotels I have been in. Keep up the good work I will definitely be back.

We've stayed here a few times in the past and it only gets better with time. This is pretty much the only option for an actual hotel in Mount Ayr and I say that because the lack of competition doesn't always result in a pleasant service for many. That is not true of the Mount Ayr Inn; they treat customers like they want to earn their business time and time again. The rooms are immaculate (and going through an update currently), the staff is all very professional, easily accessible, and genuinely friendly and pleasant to be around, and it all makes for a great experience! I have stayed at various hotels in every area of the US and parts of Canada for work & pleasure: New York City, Boston, Texas, California, New Orleans, Seattle, Milwaukee, Chicago, Florida, Michigan, Kentucky, Michigan, Wisconsin, Ohio, Georgia & South Dakota. My recent stay at this hotel stands out by far above above the rest.

After our first day of 12+ hours of driving during our road trip from Chicago to Arizona we called all the local hotels at 12:30AM to get a last minute room for the night.

After calling nearly 5-10 nearby hotels (who didn't answer) we got an answer from

Friendly staff and spacious rooms made our recent four night stay very enjoyable! We'd like to say thank you to the staff for the antique store recommendations, and for our additional pillow requests! Great place to stay that I highly recommend!
