Glaucoma is a term used to refer to a group of eye diseases that ultimately cause damage to the optic nerve. Unfortunately, there is no cure for glaucoma; but there are treatments available to help manage the condition and prevent vision loss. People with glaucoma often experience slow and gradual vision loss that is so subtle, it is virtually undetectable until it reaches advanced stages.

I sought an appointment with South Shore Eye Care after my regular eye doctor could not get me in for over a month when I was experiencing an issue; after my first appointment, I immediately decided that SSEC would be my permanent practice. The receptionists; assistants, and doctors are all genuinely helpful, warm, and friendly. They are efficient and squeezed me in quickly, my appointments were quick and efficient as well. My second appointment had a scheduling mixup and they still managed to see me on the day and time I showed up. A genuinely pleasant experience, from start to finish every time

I just wish to share my apreciation to Dr. Jason Flicker and his team at Garden City Surgical Center and South Shore Eye Care for their expertise and care during and following my recent laser cataract eye surgery on both eyes.
It's like a veil has been lifted! I can now see the world again with a much brighter and more vivid perspective.
I highly recommend Dr. Flicker if you need cataract eye surgery.

I had Dr. Flicker as my ophthalmologist after my cataract surgery. Dr. Flicker took his time in examining my condition, answered all my questions thoroughly and even gave me a free follow-up in-person appointment. I truly admire Dr. Flicker attention to detail, patience and generosity for his time. I will recommend him to my friends and family.
